I have always liked Ann, she is the best at what she does and is usually the smartest one in whatever room she’s in. But I agree with some others who point out that she evidently lives in a North East bubble and is out of touch with what the rank and file believe, think, want. Maybe she’s put off by the accent, the delivery, whatever. She needs to look deeper.
It isn’t messiah worship. Palin is one of a very short list, an embarrasingly, vanishingly short list of Repubs who stood up in the very early days to give the fight to Obama when most Repubs were still running for cover or doing backflips trying to prove that they could reach across the aisle to Satan himself to prove themselves “bipartisan”. It was Palin, DeMint, Bachmann, and a couple of talking heads who gave the weaker sisters the courage to turn and fight.
Palin’s supporters remember that, and they remember the vicious attacks on her on the part of not only the Obamists, but the Repub professionals who saw her as more of a threat than they did Obama himself. So we have short patience and a good dollop of suspicion when we hear the attacks from Repubs.
Is she perfect? By no means. But she fights.
And unlike your typical politician, she isn’t afraid to fight alone.
So, if you want to attack her, then go after her on the issues. But if you just want to ring the bell and we’re supposed to run away from her into the arms of some shape-shifter in Repub colors, it isn’t going to work. Attacks on her, when they aren’t tied to specific issues, have a way of making her stronger. You’d think her attackers would have figured that out by now.
Ann sounds like she’s been waterskiing with Fonzi...
By and large, Palin's fans are Coulter's fans. She is sawing the limb she hangs from. She is attacking her own supporters. You'd think she'd be smart enough to realize that.
Hey Ann...and your obsession with Christy is “normal”? Have to tell you it creeps me out...
Colter has become a steaming pile.
Demon possession?
Ever get the sense that the GOP is starting to freak out a little?
I just saw “Too Big Too Fail” on HBO. They tell the story of the whole mortgage backed securities mess, with a pretty frank degree of accuracy, right up until the point where the press secretary of Henry Paulson asks:
“Why would they sell insurance on securities that were that bad?”
The real answer: “They were rated AAA, you’d have sold them insurance on that stuff too.”
The HBO answer: “Fees. People were making too much money.”
They paint Buffett to be this nice old man above the fray. He owned 20 percent of Moody’s and bailed out Goldman after getting Goldman into the mess in the first place.
Now Warren and Obama, and maybe Reggie Love, are spending quality time together.
After Palin hung her own party power people in Alaska out to dry, bringing that kind of sunlight to the WH is something the GOP probably doesn’t want.
Oh, and the only thing they’d admit about Fannie and Freddie was that they were a mess. The extent of it? Not a whisper or a word.
The movie is EXTREMELY well done, and every A List liberal is in it. It’s the official storyline of what’s happened in the last 30 years with respect to where we are about 24 hours before Europe faces the same scenario the US did five days before Lehman Brothers went under.
The Swiss are freaking out, as we speak.
The next person in the WH is going to be someone who can be manipulated completely.
The truth admitted to in that movie, and the lengths they went to make heroes of Geitner, Paulson, even Pelosi, is, well, and what they WON’T say is unbelieveable.
The entire thing is falling apart now.
We are sorry Ann that you turned out to be just another one with worn out kneepads.
Who is Ann Coulter?
Oh. Well, then why are we going through this whole primary and general election thing?
Just tell us O, Great And Wonderful Coulter, who most Americans DO want for President and we can do away with all this rigamarole.
As if the fans of the other candidates bring you tea and crumpets if you criticize his or her candidate.
Do we need any more proof Ann has gone completely off the rails? She still can’t get over that Christie isn’t running. And for her to compare her supporters to Obama’s? Ann, shove it.
I have three or four of Ann Coulter's books. She was excited about Mitt Romney.
She is pooh-poohing Sarah Palin.
Did she not date Bill Maher?
Rush said last week the very thin of Hollywood are made stupid by dieting, that the body will consume the brain cells to feed itself.
Who could be excited for Mitt Romney, yet perennially negative about Sarah Palin?
I like Ann when she is saying catty things about liberals, not conservatives.
When she first came on the scene I used to like her but after awhile, she became a broken record.
I equate her to a rich debutante whose only claim to fame is making her rounds of all the high society cocktail parties and fundraisers just to get her picture on the gossip page.
Needs a BARF ALERT.
Ann can move in with M. Dowd.

From the very first post...
"Sorry, Ann, your Muslim-loving, gun-grabbing, pro-amnesty boy isn't running."
Gee, what's not to like/admire about that?
Not only is Coulter being pedantic with respect to Palin, she’s not even original. “Fish or cut bait” and “TEA party Obama” ave been used countless times before her.
Oh, and when exactly is “too late” to enter the race? Yesterday? Today? Tomorrow? And why would that date be any different for, oh, say Christie than for Palin?
It was “too late” for Palin to enter in July, but not too late for Bachmann. It was “too late” in August for Palin, but not for Perry. Now it’s “too late” in September for Palin, but not for Christie or any of the other names still being bandied about.
Somebody needs to put Ann’s face to the Jumped The Shark photo.
I’m so over the Maureen Dowd of the Right.
Hmm, let's see.
Obama got where he is by affirmative action. Palin got where she is by her own efforts.
Obama came up through a corrupt political machine. Palin fought against a corrupt political machine and won.
Obama fights the concept of American exceptionalism. Palin embraces it.
Obama wants to spend more money. Palin wants to spend less.
I could write ten pages of where Palin is different than Obama. So Coulter's statement is waay off base.
Yet somehow, all of the hate mail Coulter will get from this is the fault of Palin supporters and not the fault of Coulter's absolutely idiotic and off-base comparison here.
So if anything, Coulter is the Obama of pundits. Because it's not her fault that she will get inundated for being wrong, it's the fault of those who will point out in detail how she is wrong.
