Perspective. Also remember, that given the present court system and political correctness, that beating that a perp however wrongly receives is very apt to be the ONLY punishment the SOB is ever going to get. Feel sorry for them, just not THAT sorry.
Cops are not the judge and jury. Dishing out punishment is not their place and it is criminal. I despise criminals and traitors.
Neither cops nor criminals are immune to breaking the law. There is an unspoken social contract with cops, some of whom frankly ARE thugs. That is, we hire them to control other thugs whom we decide through our laws would do us more harm than the cops. Think of it as "Strong Medicine ... with some damn serious side effects." The deal works out OK a lot of the time ... but it does require vigilance on our part. It is naive to think that the cops will remain completely saintly when dealing with thugs ... or even those they may wrongly perceive as thugs. When they make a mistake, we nail'em ... unfortunately we have to do that with .... other cops!
Again, the cops should film everything. And we are constitutionally free to film what we want, as long as we are not in the way. Got a problem? Let's see your film AND theirs.
