They will just come to NY...

Good. Let NYers see what the consequences of sending leftist scum to Kongress are. Let their state and local taxes double

I absolutely agree. If it weren’t so attractive for so many to live using our only our money, the would be a lot less “needy” people. Dorm living would separate out pretty quickly as to who is just lazy and who really needs the help.

If you have six and a half years blank on your resume. Employers think you were in jail.

You wonder why people would even get 48 months. Yes it is pretty good set up that everyone could be guaranteed a 4 year paid vacation each lifetime.

"Forget cash assistance, set up bunks in some old govt building and have 3 meals of soup. See how quick they get on their feet, or at least go stay on someone else’s couch."

A quicker way...drug testing.

Fail one test, immediate termination of all benefits.

This policy should be implemented right after the one that tests all elected politicians for drugs too.

IIRC, Pawlenty tried this in MN and The Court said it was somehow unconstitutional.

That’s probably what’ll end up happing here once the ACLU and “welfare rights” crowd get involved.

I’d love to see this nationwide without any add ons.Welfare reform was a good idea but they never should’ve allowed the provision that if you had a child under the age of 2 into it.All that did was tell welfare Mom’s to keep having kids to stay on the dole. Two years on any assistance is enough for anyone!

“whose caseworkers said they were making progress toward finding employment”

‘making progress’ in four years? I should hope so.

I would like to see drug testing on welfare recipients too. If they can find drugs (& pay for them) they can find a job.

Leftism works until you run out of other peoples’ money to spend. Looks like there are still a few of you there who haven’t had everything taken by the state - yet. But cheer up they may move to Maine instead.

If Jesus Christ walked the world today I feel sure you would evaluate his work and say, “he could do better.”

“the state will offer exemptions to the limit for those with a disability who can’t work, those who care for a disabled spouse or child and those who are 65 or older and don’t qualify for Social Security benefits or receive very low benefits.”

sheesh you could drive a truck through these loopholes.
