Rationalization of poor performance.
What will interest me is how and if Perry improves in the next few debates. If he improves, then he is obviously paying attention to the importance of getting the message across.
So, at the moment, I am cautiously pleased with Perry's performance last night.
—Rationalization of poor performance.—
I didn’t see it. My comments were more on the whole “debate” thing itself. And I am actually forming my opinion of Perry not so much from those that like him, but those that don’t like what he said and give examples from the debate. Those very examples actually impress me, regardless of who said them.
I’ll be clear here: I think we are going down hard no matter who wins the presidency in 2012, even if Ronald Reagan comes back from the grave to be elected. This thing is entertainment only for me. But I am seeing it from the “what do you need to do to get the votes of those that may otherwise vote against you” point of view.
Based on that criteria, this Perry guy is on a roll. Too many here are complaining about the winner of a Nascar race because they don’t think the car’s color scheme was flashy enough.
Heck, the car may even be missing a fender as it crosses the finish line. What the owner, pit crew and driver care about is who is holding the Trophy after the race. That is pretty much ALL they care about. The rest is fluff.
