Obama's new tone
Los Angeles Times ^ | September 8, 2011 | By Doyle McManus

... The biggest surprise of Obama's presidency, especially after his brilliant 2008 campaign, has been what a poor politician he turned out to be once in office, especially after the wind turned against him. Perhaps his biggest shortcoming has been his failure to sell his achievements. He gave most voters a massive tax cut, but then neglected to tout it, leaving many recipients unaware they'd gotten it. His healthcare law included something most voters wanted — access to insurance for people with preexisting conditions — but he didn't highlight the change.

Now Obama hopes to turn a corner with a new tone — and, it appears, a new strategy. His rhetoric over the last few days has turned sharper and more partisan. He sounds as if he has taken at least some of the advice of liberal Democrats who have been pleading with him to stop seeking compromise with the GOP and to draw bright lines instead.

The president is banking on the premise that Republicans in Congress have overstepped whatever mandate they won in 2010. The reaction to Thursday's speech may provide the first indication whether he's right.

Obama is a idiot and he has no acheivements that he can speak of without revealing what a freakin’ liar and criminal he is.

He deserves no respect at all.

His bullshit healthcare law is a big part of the problem. His bullshit gay military position isn’t working wonders either.

The stupid 2%, I think it is, temporary, employee-side payroll tax cut.

Oh ... he's going to be partisan now? That's a change? Really?

He is going to go hard-left. He really has no other options. Conservatives never supported him and he has lost most of the moderates for good. The unions are highly P.O.ed at him and will pull their support if he does not toe their line. He is going to play it flat-out with total class warfare and hope enough of us are desperate or stupid enough to buy it. With a solid leftist bloc and a third-party troublemaker on the ballot he might just eek one out.

I’m not really sure. But whatever it was, the increase in regulations drowned it out and if you don’t have a job and don’t pay taxes then I guess it doesn’t really matter if there was a tax cut. Now does it?

It means that the tax increase he threatened was dropped.

He considers that as a tax cut.

Watch the skin crawl on the MSM. They are lock, stock and barrel with this clown. He has his big “whatever” speech this evening and nobody gives a rat’s ass. They see it.

Here’s a taste of what those advancing his “new tone” might be up to:

if you were paying attention and had done your due diligence before the election, this isn't a surprise at all. Furthermore, the only "brilliance" the Obama campaign displayed was its targeting of the easily distracted. IOW, right out of the gate, FAIL.

With all these media types carrying his water, I wonder why Obama’s polls are so low [rhetorical, of course].

At the GOP debate last evening, the two water-carrier questioners were so obvious, as if they were reading the DNC talkingpoints.

Basically, the media made Obama. If Obama fails, which he is currently doing at a rate faster than Carter, the media fails. Thus, they have to continue trying to prop him up.

It's the LA Times. Question is not "What is this referring to?", but "What has the author been smoking?"

He is going to go hard-left. He really has no other options.....He is going to play it flat-out with total class warfare and hope enough of us are desperate or stupid enough to buy it....

--------------------------

Spot on Bucheye.

I AGREE WITH THAT

He'll keep promising us that he 'gets' what's happening with the middle class as he redistributes the wealth of America.

Remember Porkulus... 'shovel ready jobs' weren't shovel ready! 'Recovery Summer' lost a net 329,000 jobs.

Everyone knows the sequel is much worse than the original.

We much resist! I say we much!

obama
Just another Less Than Zero teleprompter speech
His class-warfare tour of 2012 is under way. It's all the Rats have. Saul Alinsky would be so proud.

So now we all know...
'CHANGE' =
 ZERO Jobs
 MORE Spending
 MORE Debt
 MORE Golf
 MORE Taxes
 MORE Welfare
 MORE Abortions
 MORE Regulation
 MORE Government
 MORE Speeches
 MORE Money Printing
 MORE Vacations
MORE Porkulus ('Recovery Summer' lost a net 329,000 jobs.)
 MORE Failure
LESS WOOD (Gibson Guitars Strung Up by Feds)

Jackwagon Obama is trying to addict the country to the drug called 'government.'

Zer0 will say if we tax the mega-rich more we'll be able to fix all of America's schools and roads. He'll solve the jobs problem but people have to give him more of their money. If the Tea Party says no, Americans will see that the GOP is not willing to move the country forward.

His 'mother of all recovery and spending plans' would have saved or created millions of jobs if only Congress had accepted his proposal. And the piss-stream media stooges will all chime in and agree about how we could have seen green shoots if only the Tea Party hadn't stopped Zer0's 'go for broke' plan.

He's got a spending plan aimed at insuring a deeper depression... a historic plan that uses executive action!

It's a very long way to next November.
