Congressman Allen West said Wednesday the nation hasn't learned the lessons from the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks largely because political correctness is hobbling political leaders from confronting the threat he sees from Islamic extremists.
West, a Republican who represents Broward and Palm Beach counties, made his comments at a Washington, D.C., event at which he hosted the screening of a conservative Christian group's film "Sacrificed Survivors: The Untold Story of the Ground Zero Mega Mosque."
"My fear is that maybe we could end up forgetting what happened on 9/11 because of certain things like political correctness or this desire to be a multicultural America. But in being a multicultural America, we must never forget the fundamental principles and values that made us great," West said.
"Have we really learned a lesson from 9/11? I don't think we have. I think we are so anxious with this fast food type of mentality that we can quickly move beyond something that were not willing to sit back and really assess what is really happening in and around us," he said.

The islamazation of a America is the number one most important issue facing our country, anyone willing to speak out on this issue, is a hero. We need to insist those running for office speak to this issue, with details on how they would stop it. Thank you LTC West.
LTC West is my representative, he has made some mistakes, but he owns up to them. His courage should be commended.
We the People need to demand those running for the highest office, tell us what they will do to scourge this menace, and do so with boldness. It may very soon be to late.
West is great. However, he misses it on this one: neither Christianity nor Judaism went through “reformations” with regard to their faith, although both of them experimented with what we might call different “administrative structures” for protecting and passing along that faith. This, of course, is because the fundamental faith is true, that of the Jews as far as they go and that of Christians where that same revelation to the Jews is taken to an entirely different level (but remains the same in essence).
Islam, on the other hand, is false, vicious and hate-filled to its core, and there is no way of reforming it. The only “reform” Muslims can make to it means ceasing to practice. Changing administrative structures won’t help and in any case, is impossible, since Islam is structured as both political/legal system and a religious cult. Hence, even if they did want to change the exterior form of Islam, it wouldn’t be possible to do this without having it cease to be Islam.
So in other words, the only true reform to Islam would be its abandonment by its practitioners.

I don’t know of any other elected official who has the courage (or belief) to speak out against islam like West does. I really wish he would be our next president.
What is pathetic, is that thus far, those Repub candidates leading in polls; do NOT go there . Nor do the Media panelists who ask the questions, per these showtime debates.
Political Correctness invited - ushered in - an Obama Presidency. This omission is not a Golden Silence!
Why, why...save for a minority; is our Repub Leadership/RNC, silent on Islamic/Sharia threat to America; silent on the Islamic denigration of Western Values. Are they even aware of Obama's Muslim sympathies-made-policy MO?
That said, why ask 'why'; but 'Thank You Allen West'.
( Ticks me off as well, the 'silence' per ongoing Ground Zero Muslim acquiescence - much thanks to Bloomberg- and the power that silence grants to political correctness.)
If not Repubs decrying the travesties here; then 'who'?
One of my favorite "theories" about Ms. Lindsey Graham is that both sides of the fence are played so that when the Muslim Hordes invade and declare victory, maybe Lindsey can cut a deal and avoid the FEMA camps.
Obama and his support for Islam will not make sense until you realize Obama really is a radical Muslim whose purpose as President is to destroy the US first economically and then to handcuff all of us under Sharia law. I love how most Americans smile when a Muslim Obama is mentioned. Can they all be that stupid? The answer sadly is yes.

I slightly disagree with him. Christianity and Judaism did not need reformed.
Islam may benefit from a reformation, but what it needs even more is to be annihilated.
