Just hours before President Barack Obama addresses a joint session of Congress on his jobs plan, Rep. Marxine Waters (D-Calif.) is demanding the nation’s first African-American president prove he cares as much about unemployed blacks as he does about Iowa’s swing voters.
“There are roughly 3 million African Americans out of work today, a number nearly equal to the entire population of Iowa. I would suggest that if the entire population of Iowa, a key state on the electoral map and a place that served as a stop on the president’s jobs bus tour were unemployed, they would be mentioned in the president’s speech and be the beneficiary of targeted public policy,” Waters said in a statement to POLITICO on Thursday.

Dear Maxine,
Do you have any “white” people in your district or are you the rascist everyone thinks you are. How about, “Dear Barak...please get ALL Americans back to work by dropping your socialist/enviro/biggoted agenda and worrying about unemployed Americans.”
If Maxine and a critical mass of the other race hustlers shared some of the advice which Mayor Nutter of Philadelphia so eloqunently did, maybe her constituents would bring the unemployment rate down by an old-fashioned method: making themselves more employable.

The rivers in that part of the country just came down from flood stage as they swelled last spring. Those people have endured hardships hard to imagine yet they have not asked for Fed. help and their plight was not on the nightly news. Waters has picked the wrong group of people to use in her quest for preferential treatment.

Does Maxine have any idea how damaging and divisive her rhetoric is to Obama and the nation? What she’s saying is the definition of racism. What the president; who is president of everybody regardless of color, must do, is create an atmosphere where jobs can be created. I realize that Obama is strictly a partisan who doles out money to special interests for vote buying. But, still, he needs the appearance that he’s doing his job. Maxine just hurts him. I suspect that Maxine represents just black people. Any whites in her district or anywhere else need not apply.

I have to agree with Maxine. Zero should make unemployed African Americans the entire focus of his speech tonight! (I am hoping and praying that one particular African American will be unemployed in January 2013!)
