I did see the video. Repeatedly. Four or five times. And I came to another conclusion, sorry. Oh, wait -- not sorry.
The Dims were running it as one of their main ads in support of the feckless and useless Don Antonio Sanchez de Santa Anna, their candidate for goobernator in the "year without white men", when two DemoGenderFems were running the Dim Party and decided to run their Dream Ticket of the Future America: Black guys, Mexican guys, women all over the place, and only old John Sharp in the No. 3 or 4 position on the ballot (lieutenant-governor) to bring the Yaller Dog Democrats out of their East Texas piney-woods trailers to vote for the New America Ticket. Yaller dogs saw the reverse Jim Crow attitude, stayed home, Dims crashed and burned across the board. I cried all the way to the bank.
But I still recognize in Rick Perry a self-important jerk who acts one way on a dais, and another way when he doesn't realize there's a camera watching.
Funny you should say that since it is public knowledge that most Texas law enforcement vehicles have cameras on them. Add to that that the cameras are easy to see. The officers can turn them off if they want, but they are usually on when they are working.
I believe you are from Texas, so I didn't need to tell you that, but it was probably good information for others reading this to know that. Rick Perry would have been aware he was being videotaped.
Was it great for him to get out and ask if the officer needed his ID or what the wait was if they were not going to get a ticket? No. Was he acting in an intimidating way? Pushing her? Telling her to 'git on down the road? Absolutely NOT, and those embellishments are outright false statements.
I didn't want to come on any Palin first thread and argue with anyone, but I also don't think it is right to let lies and propaganda about ANY candidate go left unchecked. The other readers here needed to see the correct info about this as well. That is why I posted the actual videos above. We'll let the ones who do not have an agenda make up their own minds. As I said, I don't think it was his best day, but it is CERTAINLY not what some are trying to claim it to be.
I am sure we are all glad, though, that you gave us all the inside information as to how the Texas Democrats used the tape. It is interesting to have that kind of insider info. Thanks for sharing that!
