Thank you for recapping the liberal talking points. And you're probably right. We should just continue to let this monstrosity go on and fizzle out on its own so that everyone under 40 who paid into it all their lives has absolutely NOTHING to retire on. Then? Well, their children can " step up and care for their retired and ill parents. They will have to live with them like the days before SS. And their spouse’s parents too. Can’t forget them. After they pay off their student loan, they need to save enough for a McMansion as an old age home. After a while, Pro life people will be wondering why the growing interest in pulling the plug on the useless and all the money that would save."

Everyone! Bend over with heads in the sand!!!

Don’t worry the SS system will be around when the 40 group is eligible. Of course, the dollar they will get back will only be worth a fraction of the dollar they paid in. But then that goes for any plan because inflation by government will kill any retirement plan. You can’t save enough in old dollars to cover inflation of new dollars. If Perry or anyone else has a plan that will beat inflation, then it will be worth looking at. Right now it is just campaign speech [as is the others].

BTW - The only reason nothing will be there is if the government continues to export the jobs that once paid into the system. Then with no one paying in, you are screwed. That’s a problem for today as well. The real Ponzi is the jobs that used to pay into the system are in China and neither the worker or the employer is paying in.
