Officials released President Obamas uncle from Plymouth County jail yesterday after holding him for more than two weeks on an immigration detainer for violating an order to return to his native Kenya in 1992.
US officials refused to disclose any other information about Onyango Obama, who remained in the United States undetected until Framingham police arrested him Aug. 24 on drunken driving and other charges.
Yesterday, federal immigration officials refused to say whether the 67-year-old Framingham resident posted bond, whether they are keeping track of his whereabouts, or even whether they are still seeking his deportation, raising questions about public accountability in the case.
The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement website confirmed Obamas release by listing him as not in custody.
Although the website confirmed it, Brian P. Hale, an agency spokesman, said he would not comment on the case because privacy laws and the agencys policies prohibit it. He said the database is accurate, however.
As a result of the immigration agencys refusal to discuss the case, it is unclear what happened to Obama after he left the Plymouth County House of Correction - or whether he could be returned to jail.
An official at the Plymouth County House of Correction who would not give his name said yesterday afternoon that Obama was no longer in custody. He had been taken to Burlington, where US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has offices, he said.

I hope someone is following this guy so we can continue to report how 0 is protecting his illegal relatives.
You know, like the people who watched every eye blink of Sarah.
Uncle Onyango is hiding out with an unidentified family member at
an undisclosed location somewhere in the Washington DC area.
He should be fined $1000 per day for every day he has stayed in the US beyond his deportation order. If he can’t pay, then his closest living relative with financial means to pay should have to pay it. 19 years x 365 days 3 $1000 would be $6.935 million. I’m sure zero can cover that out of the proceeds from his two best-selling books.
Pressure was put on them to release him quietly in the hope that he would skip the country.
Whether headed for Canada, Mexico or elsewhere by air - you can bet when a TSA agent does a system check - he’ll be flagged as cleared to depart.
=8-)
....'spose he is working for the ATF now?
Like that would ever happen, but that would be good.

Investigate if he has been voting!
That would be major news even msm could not hide.
Msm is not going to investigate.
“Pressure was put on them to release him quietly in the hope that he would skip the country.”
If only we could be that lucky. I would like to see Uncle Onyango and about 15 million other illegal aliens would skip the country. Self deportation is a concept that works when the illegals cannot find a job and are denied benefits.

If he’s in this country illegally, how is he a “Framingham resident”?
Has already been looked at: He is not registered acc. to Town of Framingha,
Right, though he was able to obtain a drivers’ license and a social security number despite being an illegal alien. It may have been a fake soc security number or maybe real despite not being a legal citizen, and through the SSN he got license etc.
What no mention of “Long Lost Uncle Omar’s”income tax lien from back in 1990 by the Globe?
Or that his nephew was attending Harvard Law School less than a mile from “Long Lost Uncle Omar’s” address at the same time?
Now Uncle Omar has gone missing again.......
