I saw the interview too. Thought Caroline’s explanation was lame. I have a new appreciation for Jackie based on what I heard from the tapes. I lol’d when she commented on the early feminists, whispering she thought they were lesbians.
The Jackie O tapes also reveal how JFK scorned the idea of Lyndon Johnson becoming president.
“Jack said it to me sometimes. He said, `Oh, God, can you ever imagine what would happen to the country if Lyndon were president?’”
