I was stuck in traffic listening to the speech. The part where Obama said, ‘This isn’t class warfare’ was almost drowned out by laughter. For a second I thought it was Democrats laughing at the idea sarcastically, but it was quickly apparent that the sustained laughing was at Obama, not with him.

Dana Milbank: "Obama has become too weak to enact anything big enough to do much good."

This is how these brain-dead liberals think. If only Obama was allowed to spend ANOTHER $1 trillion dollars of pork spending, or better yet perhaps $2 trillion, then everything would be right with the world again.

And if we just taxed mean ole' Mr. Potter, uh I mean Warren Buffett, as much as his secretary, trillions of dollars of tax revenues would pour into the federal government like a mighty river of righteousness!

This IS the magical jump the shark moment. For those old enough to remember, this is Obama’s equivalent of Jimmah’s malaise speech.

What I remember best is the way the lib media savagely turned on the “Gentleman from Plains.”

It’s all downhill for the Messiah from here. Gunwalker and Solyndra will be occupying him henceforward.

The GOP has finally internalized Saul Alinksy’s book. Good for them. That’s how you win.

Touche!

It HAD to be Shelia Jackson-Lee I bet. She always sets herself up on the aisle.

My children’s story is going to be better than Hillary Clinton’s. I’m going to call it: “House Mouse, Senate Mole, Whitehouse Rat”

I predict Carolyn McCarthy will NEVER ask me to autograph a copy of it.

Was this his stupidest speach yet?

Did he think “Pass this right away” was going to be some major catch phrase or something?

When he used that phrase [”right away”] the first time I thought he sounded foolish- The more presidential word(s) to use would have been “pass this immediately”

But he said it over and over and over... it sounded just so.... STUPID

Obama is going across the country in air force one on tax dollars. This is all about campaigning. Without his job bill to talk about, it only leaves his dismal record. Blame Bush is worn out. Now it is blame congress, (don't look at my record)

Jeff Landry of Louisiana, chose this moment to hold up a sign demanding “Drilling = Jobs.”

We were joking about doing something like this. However Landry actually did it! Oh things are bad for "The One". He is being openly laughed at and mocked. That means he no longer holds the ability to inspire fear of retaliation in his enemies. And that is the hallmark of a Chicago politician.

Niccolo Machiavelli, a man who would have felt very at home in Chicago Politics, could have told Obama that you can survive being hated, but not despised. Because when hated your enemies are afraid of you and will not act out of fear of retribution. When you are held in contempt there is no hesitancy to act on the part of your enemies.

From The Prince

A Prince is despised when he is seen to be fickle, frivolous, effeminate, pusillanimous, or irresolute...

Congratulations Obama you are 5 for 5. You are now openly and officially despised.

I hope Gunwalker and Solyndra occupy him.

The media could get a clue, though ... that would help.

This speech was about as well thought out as Michelle Obama's college paper.

In fact, she probably wrote it!

It was the most juvenile, sophomoric collection of overused socialist platitudes, cliches and fantasies ever assembled in one speech.

The trip is all over for this clown. No second term.

Time to start picking on Hillary.

I agree. There were a lot of posters yesterday saying that the FBI was simply hiding Solyndra evidence. No I think they were gathering evidence as directed by the Energy Dept Inspector General.

We will see how independent this Inspector General is.

He was repeating the phrase in the most ham-handed attempt at public demagoguery and clumsy, artless salesmanship ever attempted in American history.

He may as well have had a giant inflatable gorilla tethered over the used car lot, as he ran around shaking hands, asking "What can I do to get you in this car today? This little baby is *perfect* for you. Let's go get you qualified and get you in this car today. No money down, no problem. No trade in, no problem. You just sign on the dotted line, and we'll get you in your dream car today. I wouldn't cut this deal to anyone, but you've got an honest face, kid. Let me go talk to the manager and get you in this car today."

It's pathetic.

It's pathetic that people fall for it, pathetic that he would try it, and pathetic that he's in such bad shape that he has to resort to such transparent gimmeckry. It's scarely fooling the people who *want* to be fooled. It's so weak that his enemies openly laughed at him during the speech.

This mini-stimumus is Obama's last stand. If he can't sell this, he's finished. There's little indication he can sell it if he's resorting to amateur hours street huckster tactics on 535 of the best BS artists in the country. He's out of his league, out of gas, out of ideas, and out of luck.
