President Obama gave one of the most impassioned speeches of his presidency when he addressed a joint session of Congress on Thursday night

"it is a tale. Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing."

Shakespeare must have forseen 0bama

It was not even full of sound and fury.

Obama sounded like a guy that had to reiterate a tired mantra to his teenage daughter.

He has been so surrounded by yes-people, i don't think he has any idea of how wooden and robotic he sounded.

I think the repeated “Pass this Bill” mantra was supposed to conjure up some great MLK speech, Mitch Albom column, or Reagan call for the wall to be torn down.

Instead, it just sounded poorly cadenced, poorly delivered and embarrassingly robotic mixed in with exasperation.

It was like Obama was just so gosh darn tired of trying to explain the sky is green, for crying out loud.

*******

I don't understand President Obama's timing: Why in the world did he choose the opening night of NFL football to give his speech, a speech that he hoped would energize all Americans to accept his Jobs bill?

I bet at least half of the Congressmen present and a lot of other Americans watching Obama's speech were continuously looking at their watches to make sure that they didn't miss the 8:30 p.m. start of the game between New Orleans and Green Bay, a game that was exciting and whose outcome surprisingly was not decided until the very last second.

The Green Bay-New Orleans game was so exciting, I wouldn't be surprised that by the time the game ended, many American football fans were so distracted by the exciting game that they clearly forgot that Obama had even made a very "important" speech shortly before the game started.

Poor Obama. With each passing day, it looks like more and more voters are yawning when Obama speaks and realizing that Obama, sadly, just does not have the leadership skills and business sense to be re-elected President on election day Nov. 2012.
