Residents can call a boil-water advisory hotline at 619-515-3525.Tests will be done at 30 sampling sites over the next 24 hours to ensure no contamination occurred as a result of the drop in water pressure due to power outages at two pump stations. Expect this order to last until early Sunday.
Beaches will be closed for at least two days from Scripps Pier north to Cardiff while we test water contaminated by sewage spills due to pump failure during the outage.

If America continues its descent into decadence, it’s just a matter of time before such horrors as cholera break out. There might not be enough antibiotics and IV fluids to save everyone.

Is San Diego having a bad couple of days or what?
To: newzjunkey
San Diego FReepers we have clean water here in WI and room for you to stay if it gets too nasty.
Be well and God bless.

Since this happens way too much, it's time we develop a technique to keep the sewage treatment out via back-up power or passive diversion to side stream containment, etc..
