The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 20% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -23 (see trends).
Data for this update is collected via nightly interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, most of the interviews for this update were completed before the president’s speech on Thursday night.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 42% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-five percent (55%) at least somewhat disapprove.

Oh well, He gets another chance at a bump on 9/11.
He can tell us about all the good he is doing in Egypt and Libya.
I have a feeling a lot of those first time voters in that picture will stay home in 2012. They all admired his star status, and that shine is really dull now.
Don’t get over-confident. This election is going to be close no matter how bad the Rasmussin poll gets for Obama. Get your all of your friends and family members to the polls on Nov 2012 — better yet, do early voting if that option is available to you. If we don’t win this election, even if the Republicans nominate the most tepid RINO, I shutter to think of the consequences.
I believe so... if the nieghborhood that I work in is any indication!! (I work in a very liberal - minority - alternative lifestyle area and one of the store here has Obama shirts for sale.) Most of the people in this area have RIMS (on their cars) that cost more then the cars itself!!

I have heard these 20% call in on the radio talk shows. There is not one rational thought between them. To them Fox News is the epicenter of all hate talk.
When I see stories about the zero on the interweb, 75% or more of the comments on Yahoo, Youtube NY Daily News and other websites that have comments are anti-zero. The mood is ugly.

The reason for the name is that when you're a politician and more people absolutely despise you than the number who have even lukewarm feelings of approval, then your career has started sliding into the Abyss.

The Sunday numbers just came out, with 2/3 of the three day moving average being after the speech. O’s at -22 Approval Index. Abyss Index is still at -1 for three days running. He got a very slight bump in Strong Approve since the speech, but Strong Disapprove is unchanged at 43%

Like so many other FReepers, I will never be satisfied by these numbers until he is finally run out on a rail in November of 2012!
You’ll actually have to wait for January 2013 to see him ridden out of DC.
