He's probably done more than any individual in history to shape the Middle East while taking slings and arrows from left and right.
Of course Obama is bumbling along trying to juggle events in the wake of what he did, but eventually millions (actually billions) will come to recognize that Bush's steady hand was a major force for peace.
I hope so too, and agree that one day he will be recognized for what he really did to stabilize the ME and keep us safe from very, very evil people.
He has the personal stability to recognize that the true effects of what he did will not be understood in his lifetime, but the attacks from both left and far right can't have been very pleasant for him as he tried his best to do his best for the country he loves.
I'm sure he's glad to be riding his bike these days and to not have the literal weight of the world on his shoulders.
