It's not 'offense' Right. It's the recognition that some feel a strange need to qualify their respect for President Bush by mentioning in post after post that he wasn't 'perfect.'

It's unnecessary. It may keep the BDS creeps and name-callers off your back, but there's no need to say it since there's not a single person on earth who thinks the man was 'perfect.'

On this thread, in regard to this speech from President Bush, and in the perspective of what he did to protect us from terror, there is absolutely, absolutely no need to add the disclaimer that you think he spent too much money. It seems kind of silly to a lot of people that so many of you do that.

I'm just telling you it's not necessary to cover yourself, and you don't need to do it again.

ohio, you said it very well. The disclaimer seems to be a habit, an apology for saying something nice about President Bush. We don’t read or hear the same kind of remark about any other politician or public figure.
