Just go to show once again, government inefficiency.

10 years to finish this memorial?? Could have and should have taken one summer to do it.

Really, a simple memorial would have been enough, cordon the area and declare it sacred ground. All the time and BS not necessary. I hate when self-important people, politicians like THIS one, use an occasion like this to congratulate themselves and their “colleagues” when THEY ARE NOT THE HEROES.

(Did someone in the audience just holler out?)

Not sure who’s been to Shanksville, but United flight attendants who were based in EWR had fund raising projects for years, and on the 5th anniversary of 9/11, our memorial to the passengers and crew of Flight 93 was dedicated.

It is behind the chapel and is absolutely beautiful! I don’t think many people know it’s there. Please visit it if you’re ever in Shanksville.
