I thought it was tacky of her to show up trying to get attention but not sticking her neck out.

Sarah is a celebrity, people go to her rallies but how many would vote for her? I don't have a clue.

I don't think she has said anything I haven't heard before. The media gives her more attention than they give the real candidates.

Most people I know are not thinking about POTUS candidates that much. At our past 2 Repub meetings we've had state and Congressional candidates talk... no mention of POTUS candidates even in small talk.

I like Rubio so I don't have a horn to toot! He isn't ready yet either.

FReepers think about it more than "normal" people. LOL!

Sarah Palin has been sticking her neck out ever since Obama came in to office. She was on point on nearly every issue opposing Obama. You may remember her column in the Wall Street Journal pointing out Obamacare death panels, right? If you are interested in who didn't stick their neck out, you can start with all the announced candidates for president except for MIchele Bachmann.

She is a celebrity, definition; NOUN: pl. ce·leb·ri·ties A famous person. Renown; fame. but that doesn't mean she isn't a serious political force, too. People go to rallies she speaks at because she IS the draw. Don't have a clue? Get one! :)

I don't think she has said anything I haven't heard before. The media gives her more attention than they give the real candidates.

How many politicians do you hear that want to tackle crony capitalism? That's only one issue. If you study her, you'll find a lot more areas she differs from others. The Media's template on Sarah Palin is that she is dumb as dirt. They follow her around because they just know she'll do or say something they can attack her on. It isn't working out to well for them, is it? Also, Palin is much more interesting than the "real" candidates, who are dull, dull, dull.

Most people I know are not thinking about POTUS candidates that much. At our past 2 Repub meetings we've had state and Congressional candidates talk... no mention of POTUS candidates even in small talk.

Then why all the concern because she won't come out and announce her intent to run..RIGHT NOW if not yesterday? People aren't paying attention. They will the day she announces, though. Bet on it.

I like Rubio so I don't have a horn to toot! He isn't ready yet either.

Rubio is a great asset in the Senate. He may or may not be president material. Time will tell. I hope he does.

Most people don't give a rats ass about politics. It's the FReepers and other "involved" citizens that do the grunt work in election campaigns. FreeRepublic is a great place to self-educate and learn from each other as a group. FReepers are quite normal but also above average.
