Hold your nose and read the linked 600 words of navel-gazing nonsense.

How far are we going to go down the rabbit hole to explain the strange fact that nobody likes President Obama anymore? The problem isn't him, you see. The problem is that the rest of us are crazy...

If we cling to the notion that Obama is wise and competent, in addition to being articulate and bright and clean and a nice looking guy, then the only reason for his failure must be mass national psychosis.

I would suggest the simpler explaination. Obama was never wise or competent. The exact opposite, in fact. But people deluded themselves, for the obvious reasons, and now they are unwilling to fact up to the fact that they lied to themselves back in 2008.

I refuse to read anything this liberal cow has to write. Not worth the time.

KATHLEEN PARKER SPEW ALERT!

She said: "...Putting it bluntly, Sept. 11 caused us to go temporarily insane..."

Yeah. Watching your fellow Americans leap to their deaths rather than burn to death might have something to do with this being "temporarily insane".

I have a different take on temporary insanity. I think it is what happens to liberal libtard moonbats who write opinion pieces for liberal newspapers on the 10th Anniversary of September 11th. No, wait. Someone who is insane, is insane. Temporary doesn't even begin to describe it.

A nation cannot heal itself without self-awareness. On this score we have fallen short. We seem not to want to recognize that we don’t have a problem; we are the problem. Putting it bluntly, Sept. 11 caused us to go temporarily insane.

Typical liberal garbage.

It isn't "self awareness" that heals individuals or nation, it is God. And by that I mean The God of Abraham, not Allah, crystals, Buddha, or bent spoons.

The "problem" is sin - and only Jesus Christ can overcome that - a fact this liberal is not willing to recognize.

Her charge is that we fought back, for a short time, against the evils if Islam. For this act, she lashes out in venom.

We elected a Muslim sympathizer, and her newspaper shares much of the blame.

There is a portion of the population that is (using her words) "insane" - they are called Godless liberals. They refuse to acknowledge God, good, evil, heaven, hell, salvation, and truth.

These missteps, nonetheless, don’t justify the “You lie!” hysteria of his opposition.

Except that Obama WAS lying. So in Parker's antiseptic view of politics, pointing out that truth is hysteria.

President Obama understands that the nation has a psychological problem, but no president in his right mind can afford to speak publicly of such things.

Are you kidding me? Obama has contributed considerably to the national pyschosis. A prime example is his bashing of Bush national security policies during the campaign, and then adopting many of them as president - without explanation or admission that he was wrong during the campaign.

Yet is is the fault of his critics, apparently, and not Obama's.

Parker is pathetic.

This is by far the strangest piece I have ever read here; and that includes posts from tinfoil-hatted trolls, LOL!

“At the risk of sounding bossy: America, heal thyself. Please.”

I’m sorry. I can’t help but put all of the blame for this squarely on the shoulders of the Democrats. If you look to our pre-9/11 world, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING they did, politically and on the world stage set us up for this disaster.

And there is much more to come.

I think it’s partially correct. Americans no longer know America. That’s due to America haters like her who have been spewing at the public, through the media, through the government, through the schools for the last 60 or more years.
Joe McCarthy was right.
He was the first to be Alinski-ized.

The only kind thing that I will offer about Ms. Parker's article is that it does not take terribly long to read, which is a good thing because otherwise it might cause in its readers the same sort of brain damage from which the authoress appears to suffer.

I am amazed yet again at the seemingly bottomless capacity of some people to rationalize evil and blame its victims for having the temerity to call it by its name and to fight back against it.

If Ms. Parker is to be believed (and she is not), we were attacked on 9/11/01 because Osama bin Laden decided all by his widdle bitty self to launch a terror operation against us... and just look how badly we responded!!! Why: we got involved in needless wars and got mad at each other and stuff!!! We're the ones with the problem, see? If only we were as calm and rational as our beloved President and not so... emotional... we could truly Get Things Done and make the world right as rain.

All right, all right. That's quite enough Stupid Ass Ruling Class Nonsense® to make the point, I think. The fact of the matter is that if anything, we haven't gotten angry enough: not at each other, but at the state powers that support the enemy Ms. Parker refuses to name: Radical Islam. Was it really such a surprise, other than learning that he was still alive, that Osama had been protected and secreted away in a safe house not in Afghanistan but within the confines of our Good Friend and Ally, Pakistan? Are we shocked to learn that financial support for al Qaeda continues to flow from our Good Friend and Ally - Saudi Arabia?

And yet, the Ruling Class, with which Ms. Parker entirely identifies, consisting of both establishment Democrats and nominal Republicans, continues to pursue the same State Department-approved strategy of cramped definitions and non-confrontation, except with Israel, of course, which insists on making things so damned complicated by actually refusing to negotiate with powers allied with Islamic radicals, when Everyone Knows that Hamas and Hezbollah are just looking to make peace with those terrible Israeli warmongers.

To the point then: America did not suffer a nervous breakdown after 9/11 or anything of the kind. It is remarkably shallow and silly (even by Washington commentator standards) to say so. What we did was to wake up - a little. We got angry - a little. We started a conversation that caused some arguments, yes, but also began to figure out what - and who - caused us to slumber as a nation in the first place.

Many of the people responsible for our somnambulism prior to 9/11 - in government bureaucracies, in the universities and in the news media - are still themselves sleepwalking into walls and blaming phantoms for their own mental states. One hopes we do not need yet another icy bucket of water to finally wake them up.

the roots of today’s political dysfunction — the hate, fear, anger and resentment — firmly planted in the soil at Ground Zero

I admit to not reading the tome but this line is sufficient see that its just a bunch of psychobabble and perverted logic. The roots of today's political dysfunction arose not from the soil of Ground Zero but rather from the sludge of big government, misguided economic policies and, as you so aptly put it, a complete failure of leadership. The "rain" that allowed this toxic mix to grow was a corrupt national media.

The left thinks America deserved 9/11. The left wanted America to lose the wars that followed. The left tried to destroy George W. Bush. The left foisted on the country a “healer” who was nothing but a leftist ideologue.

That’s why the country is divided. It’s not because of some nebulous mass psychosis.

But, I guess writing a column like this makes a writer feel good about herself, and guarantees a pleasant reception on the cocktail party circuit.

After months of reported tension CNN ‘fires Kathleen Parker’ as Eliot Spitzer gets his own show

If CNN fires you, what does that say? How could a “conservative” columnist work for Communist News Network? Ever?

Hey Kathleen Parker! UN Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick gave a speech to the RNC in 1984. The speech has since been labled the "Blame America First". She described the Liberal world view exactly.

They said that saving Grenada from terror and totalitarianism was the wrong thing to do - they didn't blame Cuba or the communists for threatening American students and murdering Grenadians - they blamed the United States instead.

But then, somehow, they always blame America first... http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1996/conventions/san.diego/facts/GOP.speeches.past/84.kirkpatrick.shtml

And you, Parker, have gone to the basement of your mind and pulled out the moldy music book and have sung that nitwit song of American self-immolation. Go Away!

Another thread today (on Lucianne)tries to explain that O Hussein Obama was elected in part as a back-lash to George W. and his war on the rest of Hussein's relatives. True to a point, I suppose, but a bigger element working in conjunction is political correctness with some white guilt mixed in.

PC and white guilt are the very reasons Obie won't be asked to step down, despite an obvious and further destruction of the Democratic party.
