Actually, I just bought “City of God” at half off at Borders.

Ideas are built on previous ideas....I was not going to trace back to St. Augustine. Maybe you should have gone back to Plato—because of the Platonic influence on Augustinian thought.

I prefer Aristotle and St. Thomas, although there is much good in St. Augustinian thought, except in his predestination ideas copied by Calvin. But then, if you are a Calvinist, I can see your devotion.

Puh-leeze....I don’t have the time to outline the ideology throughout Western Civilization which could start with Homer. I would be at the computer typing for months, and I do have other hobbies.
