I’d say more than oil business (tho, an important factor).
There are already many moslems in the US & especially the UK. In addition to naturalized ones, many were born in mentioned countries, hence born citizens.
These moslems are, therefore, voters too. And, more than few, also, serve in the military of mentioned countries - as well as in various gov’t departments, even in the UK parliament - some even hold positions of power.
All of the above, mostly, unlike the Nazis of WWII.
So... you can draw your own conclusions regarding the implications thereof.

EDL is kinda like the British version of Shiv Sainiks of Bombay or VHP/RSSS/Barang Dal of north India. In the past I used to have a strong dislike for these groups. Right now I am at a point where as long as their actions are aimed against Islamofascists I would happily look the other way. Its sad that we have come to a point where we have to depend on these loonies to resist Islamic fascism, but if that is all we got left I am willing to live with it.
