Geithner heads to Europe as debt fears mount

...Geithner is expected to attend the euro zone meeting on Friday and then return to Washington. The Treasury said on Monday only that he will discuss efforts to boost global recovery and cooperate on financial regulation, but U.S. attention is focused on risks posed by potential European debt contagion.

The danger that a Greek debt default could roil bigger European economies was underlined on Monday as heavily exposed French banks' shares plunged and investor confidence in the euro zone's ability to surmount a sovereign debt crisis ebbed.

Underscoring concerns by the United States about the global economic dangers from Europe's debt troubles, the Treasury Department said Geithner would meet with International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde on Tuesday.

Why do I get the feeling this trip is going to cost us FAR above his travel expenses?

Do we really need to export that deer-in-the-headlights look to Europe? God help them if they listen to him.

Europeans have real problems and Little Timmy Geithner is nothing but a fart in the gathering storm to them. Meanwhile, the US market inexplicably went up 69 points today. The collapse of the US securities market will be fast, ugly, and unimaginably violent.

Geithner heads to Europe

What would we have to give them to keep him?

The Obozo A-Team is the perfect example of the Peter Principle in action, in capital letters. Timmy Geithner, Ben Bernancke are total losers.

If Europe had any sense they would opt for a trained monkey rather than Geithner. We could send Bernanke, but I think he is busy printing money.

I think it's likely they're going to have a "Jesus moment" and finally realize what the Tea Party movement have been saying all along: too-big government, too many government regulations and a business-unfriendly tax system can cause no end of economic woes.

The mantra of the Tea Party movement--namely smaller and less intrusive government and far more business-friendly taxation--could spread around the world a lot quicker than people think, even in Europe.

Maybe Geithner will have the Debt Panel handle EUrope’s problems as well.

To save Greece, the Germans don’t want to devalue their own money and take the corresponding life–style hit; however, the Greeks cannot pay their debts, and without a bailout, will have to default and put the whole Globalists’ European project in jeopardy. What’s to be done?

And so with this in mind, I read the article looking for what I thought would certainly appear; and so it did, and here it is.

Underscoring concerns by the United States about the global economic dangers from Europe's debt troubles, the Treasury Department said Geithner would meet with International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde on Tuesday.

Here’s what we can expect: The US Federal Reserve will print dollars and ship them off to the IMF which, in turn, will use them to bail out Greece. The American people will take the hit. Our money will be further devalued, and our lifestyles will be further diminished to keep the Globalists’ dream afloat,

The American people will be discretely deceived; they will be told that an international effort was brought to bear to save Europe, but they will not be told that we are the ones who are taking the financial and economic hit.
