Solyndra Executives Postpone Testimony, As Emails Reveal Deeper Obama Administration Ties To Bad Loan
Zeke Miller | Sep. 14, 2011, 8:29 AM

Executives of Solyndra, the solar company that was celebrated by the Obama administration before filing for bankruptcy earlier this month, postponed their testimony to a congressional committee investigating the $535 million it received through the encouragement of the White House.

Internal emails obtained by The Washington Post show that White House officials tried to rush the review of the loan — so that Vice President Joe Biden could announce the award at the groundbreaking of the company's factory in September 2009.

One official from the Office of Management and Budget charged with providing final review of the loan wrote of “the time pressure we are under to sign-off on Solyndra.” A second raised a red flag, saying “There isn’t time to negotiate.”

"This deal is NOT ready for prime time," one OMB staffer wrote in a March 10, 2009 email obtained by ABC News, nine days before the administration formally announced the loan.

That's a shame. Isn't the rookie Hussein out there pimping his 'Solyndra' type jobs plan today?

After that FBI raid in which Solyndra’s files were seized I figured Holder’s ‘people’ would have carefully pored through them and shredded anything and everything that had any ties back to the Obama administration.

That WAS the purpose of the ‘raid’, wasn’t it?

;-)

the $535 million it received through the encouragement of the White House.

Am I missing something? Otherwise, why the difference in numbers between the headline and the story?

It’s a typo, BI has the $535M figure right in their headline.

Perhaps the admin can fix it.

Maybe they should go back to Chicago and review how IL State senator BHO diverted money for improving housing conditions in his district, or how as Chairman of the Annenberg Challenge $100 million that was supposed to be used to improve school performance was diverted for community based efforts and activism.

I empathize with the OMB staffers who were pressured to be complict in this crony fascist ripoff

In govt, we staffers used to say of “rush” action demands:
You want it bad -You get it bad!

That's not even the headline I posted! It went from Solyndra Executives Postpone Testimony, As Emails Reveal Deeper Obama Administration Ties To Bad Loan - to - Emails Suggest White House Pressured OMB To Make $355 Million Loan To Bankrupt Solar Company. NOW the website boasts - SOLYNDRA-GATE: Emails Suggest White House Pressured OMB To Make $535 Million Loan To Bankrupt Solar Company.

Wow.

When are the idiots working under hussein going to realize that when they are “being pressured” that it means they are going to be thrown under the bus anyway?

Heard some interesting commentary on this this morning. If Dems start saying this needs to be looked into, it may be the end of Obama. No Dem would dare challenge the first Black president in a primary. But after yesterday’s election results, Dems could use a scandal that would drive Obama to do a LBJ and decide not to run in 2012....
