Weprin was absolutely mealy mouthed about Obama and in the end, said he WOULD vote for him again. There, you have it.
BTW: I am sure that unlike my disaster of a congress-thing, Joe Crowley, the head of the Queens County Democratic Party, who actually lives in Arlington, VA, while maintaining a rundown looking hovel in Woodside, Queens, Turner will continue to really, really live in Queens.

As I'm noting on these threads, I wouldn't draw long term conclusions. Jews, like everyone else, vote on a multitude of issues, not just Israel. Economic issues are likely as important to Jews, as they are to everyone else.

Since no one has posted a poll, I won’t, cause I can’t, either. But it’s my understanding that polls, unreliable but a lot of attention to this race, indicated that Jews AND pro-Israel voters, whatever that is, went 71% for Turner. Yes, it took more than Jewish voters. As others have indicated, who may also have been motivated the gay marriage stand. Since Jews are a small minority in a largely pro Israel America, the dems may have miscalculated here. And at this point there’s nothing that can be done to change the facts on the ground in the middle east. Any more than they can change the economic facts on the ground. Another GWB bogeyman will be needed for reelection.

I don’t get the Israel and Orthodox vote....when I lived there I knew some super orthodox who rejected this as Israels time
I predicted this six months ago and I stand by it today - Obama will lose 25-35 percent of the Jewish vote from 2008. Those are the Jews who like Israel and America. They vote Dem because of white guilt, social issues, and fear of Christians. They are reflexively leftist.
But there is a hardcore far left among Jews which will not be affected. This group hates the West and sides with the Muslims.
I never understood the Jewish fear of evangelicals.
