Bodies hanging from bridge in Mexico are warning to social media users

(CNN) -- Two bodies dangling from a pedestrian bridge in the border town of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, created an image as gruesome as any in the four years of the country's offensive against the drug cartels.

A man and a woman, both in their early 20s, were left hanging like cuts of meat. The woman was hogtied and disemboweled, her intestines protruding from three deep cuts on her abdomen. She was then hung from the bridge by her feet and hands, topless. The bloodied man was suspended next to her by his hands, his right shoulder severed so deeply you can see the bone.

Two posters left near the bodies declared that the pair -- a young man and woman -- were killed for posting denouncements of drug cartel activities on a social network.

If our esteemed government cannot keep this savagery outside our borders, then of what use is it?

>> “One wonders why Mexico absolutely refuses to consider capital punishment” <<

.
They don’t need capital punishment; their police have AK-47s.

the Mexicans seriously need to clean this up like the Colombians did. It’s the only way. They need to get para military group of relatives of the victims of these drug gangs and just go on a killing spree until they are destroyed.

Last murder like this I can remember was quite awhile ago in Iraq, the victims being contractors on our side. Hung from a bridge , but also burned.

There was another Mexican drug war case a year ago last month in Cuernavaca.

The only solution to the problem is take the money out of it.

The only way to take the money out of it is to decriminalize it here. I proposed we do that and spend the money we spend now on ineffective law enforcement and incarceration on end-user treatment programs.

What we are doing now darn sure doesn’t work, and has a multi-decade history of not working.

The drug warriors will be along soon to flame me. To them, I say one definition of insanity is continuing to do those things that have not worked in the past.

"Somebody needs to go medieval on their (the cartels) ass. "

It's only a matter of time before the government of Mexico is supplanted completely by the Cartels.

Oddly, this may not be a completely bad turn of events for the USA. They will maintain law and order, of course of their own variety, but better than the chaos we now see.

The only other alternative, and I believe it could happen within 3-5 years, is the US Army invited in to take care of the cartels. Some dumbass POTUS will agree.

Yours is not a new idea. Look up "Knights of the Golden Circle," John Walker, and the original meaning of the term "filibusters."

James Fannin, a failed Ring Knocker, (from Hudson High), from Georgia, the guy who failed to relieve the Alamo, was a filibuster. He originally figured to invade Mexico and march on Vera Cruz. It's the reason he didn't want to be distracted with going to San Antonio. He was worried that Travis and Bowie would rank him out of his scheme.

Perhaps it's time to resurrect the idea. Let's hope we do better, this time.

Error: William Walker, not John Walker.

Legalize it, get serious about the war on drugs, whatever. The fact is, it is the MONEY that gives the cartels their strength. Until we do something to reduce the profit margin, it is hopeless.

The idea that restricting our second amendment rights will somehow make Mexico safer is bullsh@t. The President of Mexico coming up here and asking us to gut our gun rights while saying nothing about the money proves he is just a sock puppet for the drug cartels.

Cuernavaca was a charming place when it was one of four honeymoon stops 33 years ago when my wife and I had our honeymoon in Mexico.First Mexico City, then Cuernavaca then Taxco then Acapulco. Obviously there were problems then, and I couldn’t help but be made aware of how much the country depended on tourism. This very serious trouble there now is keeping people away in droves, exacerbating all the other highly practical economic problems. So NATURALLY illegal immigration is foisted on us since we’re the kangaroo court of last resort.

"It’s almost like overnight it became a sewer."

Read up on what Genghis Khan did, as well as Mussolini, Stalin, Pol Pot, Hitler, Aztecs and the Apaches did to dissenters, complainers and protesters. While certainly vile, these Mexican thugs dont hold a candle to anything Stalin did.
