if the FBI missed any documents that needed to be shredded

Well, I'd say not quite. I'm sure Holder's FBI will shred everything under their control, but I'd say if there are incriminating docs in the hands of outsiders that aren't provided by the White Hut in response to requests for docs, and especially if there is a pattern of such being produced elsewhere that the WH will not have produced, that would "print-near" prove the criminally subverting justice charge(s).

The Bush administration is [what else is new] being blamed in a news report I heard although under Bush the company was turned down; so my opinion would suggest someone then told Solyndra to wait it out as they would find a more welcoming committee under the Obama 'Green' administration.

VIDEO

Obama administration hailed the Solyndra loan as the first in a series of federal infusions for "green energy" firms that held the potential to clean up the environment and create jobs"... "Money well spent." Shocked workers walk into the company and the doors are shut..no one saw it coming." Not enough money for a severance package." "Republicans said they smelled a rat from the beginning."

Billionaire George Kaiser fund raiser for Obama could not be found for comment.

They are flat out denying it? Just plain old fashioned DENY that they pushed the loan?

I’m actually shocked. That’s about the worst possible thing they could have done. You’d think a little more clever maneuvering might be called for this time.

Obviously Obama and his admin are going to try to get out of it any way they can but this was a mistake. Outright denial of something like this can only hurt you unless you KNOW you can make the denail stick.

This does not look like a good situation to just bald faced lie your way out of.

Let’s keep hoping.

A previous post here quoted the Puffington Post as saying that Bush’s White House was the first to “consider” the Solyndra application. What they probably didn’t say was that Bush’s people turned it down. Transparent half truths like this give the Democrat base orgasms, but I can’t imagine that anyone believes them.

By the way, in addition to the $550,000 of taxpayer money pissed away on this “investment”, there’s the question of Solyndra’s use of outmoded technology, and the fact that the Chinese could produce this product at a small fraction of the cost to Solyndra. I hope that the FBI investigation reveals to the public any parts vendors who may have unloaded their inventories of obsolete parts on Solyndra, and any Solyndra executives or administration people that might have profited.

Energy Secretary Steven Chu's name appears.

Called "the BP bagman"[NYT said Chu received the bulk of a $500 million grant BP] or one of the most brilliant scientists around" by Care2--take your pick.

"When Chu speaks, he speaks for the Obama administration...":

To the WSJ in Mar 2010 Chu said,[First breath]"Why does it take so long to get a loan out? Well, we are required by statute to do certain things. We have to protect the taxpayer interests. We have to make sure when we give a loan that there's a reasonable probability of getting it back."
[Second breath]"Because of those constraints on our loans, we can't make a lot of loans we'd like to make of more daring stuff. Because in the more daring technologies the probability of failure is higher. So what we argued in the next budget is, increase the credit subsidy for renewables and efficiency and for other more daring things that may or may not work."

A criminal complaint could be filed against Solyndra Staff and Executive Board members for fraud, embezzlement, conspiracy and concealment, and possible criminal civil rights violations.

When one felony is committed, L/E knows it is also possible that other federal offenses have been committed including but not limited to;

Title 18 U.S.C. §1341, Mail Fraud,

18 U.S.C.§1001, Presenting a False Document to the an Agent of the United States Government;

18 U.S.C.§1027 False statements and concealment of facts in relation to documents required by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 and other possible offenses including civil and/or criminal RICO violations.

18 U.S.C. §§1961-68 (RICO Act)18 U.S.C. §1001 (False Statements to Agents of the U.S. Government),

18 U.S.C. §1341 (Mail Fraud),18 U.S.C. §1027 (ERISA Violations), and,

18 U.S.C. §241(Conspiracy Against Civil Rights).

Full investigations of a RICO conspiracy under 18 U.S.C. §1962(c) might be warranted because (1) the defendant persons (2) were employed by, or associated with, an enterprise (3) that engaged in or affected interstate commerce and that (4) the defendant persons operated or managed the enterprise (5) through a pattern (6) of racketeering activity, and (7) taxpayers were injured in business or property by reason of the pattern of racketeering activity.

How does anyone in any circumstance think a $535 million dollar loan is a good idea to build a $95 million dollar facility?

What business plan were these tools in this agency looking at?

They need to lose their rights to spend until they understand simple Econ 101

Been a lurker for over 12 years.
$680.00 phone bill first month I moved to NE Ohio in 2000 - did not have a local AOL phone number - and followed the Gore/Bush saga night after night on FR.

Solyndra has legs - big time.

Having said that, I’m still waiting for Able Danger to break wide open.

P.S. Jim Rob and all Freepers - thank you for being here!!!

Is anyone thinking what I’m thinking? Things are imploding all around this guy, esp from his own liberal left and other democrats. If things heat up, esp with an impeachment he’ll step down. I don’t know who would replace him who is not associated with him, but Obama can leave office and play golf the rest of his life.

The last thing we want is to have this guy NOT running in 2012. I’ve always said KNOCK off this natural born citizen crap. He got away with it. Even if it shows he was not born in the USA, just drop it. Besides, there will less scrutiny over Rubio if he a candidate for VP.

Rep. Henry Waxman-D is on a roll!

“My understanding is that Solyndra applied for this loan in 2006 when Bush was President,”

What Waxman fails to mention is the fact that the loan was denied by the Bush Administration.

Of course the Dept. of Energy is in full CYA mode and insisting that the loan wasn’t rejected by the Bush Administration but “remanded it back for further analysis”.
