DELTA, Utah — Police searching the Utah desert in connection with the 2009 disappearance of Susan Cox Powell found human remains Wednesday near Topaz Mountain, NBC station KSL reported.
Investigators with cadaver dogs found the remains in the deserted, high desert mountain area 130 miles southwest of Provo, said Sgt. Mike Powell of West Valley.
There is no confirmation yet as to whether the remains are of Powell, but they were found in an area that authorities said is popular with rock hounds and where her husband, Josh Powell, liked to camp.

OK, I give up. Who is Susan Powell? I have a friend named Powell, maybe it is his sister,
Details are at the link, but, this is the woman who disappeared from her Utah home, missing when her husband returned from camping out with their two toddlers in single degree temperatures for a day and a half. At the time the oddity of those circumstances made it somewhat of a national story for a time.

Her husband claimed that he took his two toddler sons camping in the freezing cold in the middle of the night, came home and his wife was gone. The whole story was beyond ridiculous and you can just see “Guilty” across his face every time he was interviewed. His own father came out recently(Another creepy individual) and said that he had an affair with Susan and that she was a whore..just a ploy from the family to turn the suspicion away from their guilty son, I wouldn’t be surprised if the father-in-law was involved too

There are likely thousands of mines and excavation sites in the West, Utah alone has been dug pretty good over the years in search of stuff to pawn in Vegas.
The story of Daddy taking a late night camping trip in the middle of the night in a snow storm with a 2 and 4 year old so mommy could rest is a wee bit weak to many.. but until we find remains,, DNA or jewelry, The question of what happened to Susan Powell will remain unanswered.

Ya, what jerks. The good thing is, it’s in a state where the jurors will actually have the balls to find him guilty once the case is ready. I don’t think they’ve filed murder charges yet w/o a body, have they?
No murder charge, yet..but I think its coming, especially if these remains belong to Susan..you can bet that this giant sack of turd is getting Jose Baez on the phone right now..let me guess..it was an accident that snowballed out of control??
My guess is that daddy returned to the scene of the crime....and/or a camper found something.....OR....they're trying to get him to make a wrong move....and there are no remains.
