So what about all the engineers who invented the machines to automate routine tasks? Should they not have done that? Are we lamenting the demise of the type writer too? Lots of secretaries out of work now don’t cha know. Perhaps computers and word processing were bad ideas. And don’t get me started on the farriers. That infernal automobile put them all out of work!!!!

Ok, cut the drama.

I am not advocating a Luddite position, technology marches on. BUT there are plenty of small jobs that have been eliminated, not because of technology, but because of government laws such as minimum wage, fear of lawsuit, now the Clown's healthcare bill (more than small jobs will be eliminated here). There is plenty of room in the world for people to pump gas, but it is too onerous for an employer to hire one, so, there is no customer service.

The fun part is that the left characterizes such things as McJobs and believed that they should be automated.
