That being said, my concern over the Gardisil issue has little to do with the drug itself and more to do with the attitude of the executive who governs "for our own good."*** Perry cannot ever be allowed anywhere near the levers of federal power. ... He is totally ignorant as to the responsibilities of an elected official to the citizenry.***
Ditto2 to both.
How many times have the RATS played that game. How many times have we heard from them "It's For The Children.". Answer - a gazillion.
And each time we FReepers have said they're full of shiite, stepping on the Constitution, and taking our RIGHTS and FREEDOMS away! But now Gov Good Hair does tries it and it's okay because, 'It's For the Children'. Huh?!? Now Wtf is up with that!?!
Lastly, to this day that asshat will STILL not admit or acknowledge he was wrong. Just that he approached it the wrong way. Well golly gee whiz, thanks 'Governor Mandate', thanks for nothing.
BTW Gov, we already have one who thinks like you in the White House. We don't need another one to follow. The Regal EO Mandates are already tiresome.
ps: Get a new Taylor. Your suits make you look like someone stole your neck.
Ricardo Perrinista didn't like the negative feedback he was getting over the Gardasil debacle so in the interest of damage control he now admits his nanny-state EO was wrong and an "Opt-in" would have been the proper course of action. That's further than his blind followers are willing to go; they refuse to admit it was even wrong.

What we should have done was a program that frankly should have allowed them to opt in, or some type of program like that...
UPDATE: I made a mistake on that, Perry told Iowa Radio later in the day Monday, calling it an error in not having a conversation with the people of the state of Texas.
