Why is Obama pimping his latest scam almost exclusively on college campuses? I believe his natural proclivity toward academia makes this seem an obvious choice. But the less obvious reasons merit consideration. If you need to be seen, day after day, being cheered by people who appear to support your views, and your proposal is viewed negatively by working people, why not speak to audiences that are "work illiterate"? More taxes are not what working families are interested in, and they are sometimes vocal about their opposition. Don't get caught talking to them! Too risky!! Instead, go speak to crowds who have yet to see what tax withholding looks like on their paychecks. Who have not struggled to find employment yet. Who are probably enjoying government largesse in the form of student loans, and possibly food stamps. The "taker" class. Who haven't felt the pain of paying their way through life yet. Yeah! They'll cheer for your tax increases! Why wouldn't they? It's been pretty good to them so far!
Because colleges and universities have draconian speech codes, minimizing the chance of any more “you lie!” or “why do you let Biden call us terrorists?” episodes.

I’ve concluded this as well. It’s about getting a friendly audience and his choices are getting more limited every day. His safest bet is academia, both in faculty and students, so that’s where he’s going. It used to be green-job firms, but we know where that’s going. Now, it’s between labor and academia.

the piped in crowd noise from 2008 would seem more logical in a COLLEGE crowd...it is no longer logical in an arena of dissappointed tax payers and the unemployed...

It’s only because those snotty little college creeps are the ones that put him in office to begin with. They shouldn’t have the opportunity to even vote until they are paying taxes out the butt like the rest of us.

Probably because naive college students who have almost ZERO life experience are the only demographic which still suports him in any appreciable numbers.
That, and the fact that travelling around speaking ONLY at democrat party events would make it way too obvious that he is actually on a “Job” tour, not a “Jobs” tour — and besides, the crowds would be too small.
He’s targeting all of his ‘pidgeon hole’ groups. He started this by backdoor amnesty (Hispanics), ‘folksy talk’ for the students, visiting Ireland (American Irish vote), the ‘White Like Me’ tour, ending Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (for the rump rangers) on and on.
Because the kids have been indoctrinated by the schools nearly all of their lives for just this purpose and have not been out in the real world to have any way to guage what utter BS this assclown is spewing.
Just wait until they get their first paycheck and compare it to their student loans.
If young people took a year off from school between high school and college and worked at a dead end job during that time, much of the leftists peddled during higher education wouldn’t impress them so.

Hah! That’s funny! But I’ll bet there will be several European tours by the Obamas, at taxpayer expense, in the next 12 months, as they feel the curtain coming down on the uptown lifestyle.
That’s the only market that believes in an all knowing government.
