She really has turned me off the last couple of months with her behavior from the peanut gallery.

You see that? That's the sort of statement that causes so many people here to find you less than credible. You just have to get in a sideways dig at Palin, no matter what you say about her.

Not once have I ever seen you comment favorably about her many excellent speeches over the last six months, and every one of those speeches was foursquare in line with our nation's Founding Principles. Yet you claim to be a conservative.

"Behavior". What behavior are you referring to? Her going after the state-run media? Her going after Obama? Her twisting the media into pretzels, as they tried to keep up with her bus tour?

Perhaps it was her opposition to the boondoggle of the recent debt negotiations, and the abominable bill that finally passed. Or was it her visit to the Iowa State Fair, where she was swarmed wherever she went? Was it the interview she did with Hannity there? Perhaps you were turned off by some of the articles she wrote? You know, the ones that sounded exactly like Reagan talking?

Please, tell me what exactly turned you off about Palin in the last couple of months. I'm dying to hear this.

Let me get this straight, Winifred. You're acusing me of having to get in a dig at Palin, in the same post that you're asking me to give you a dig on Palin? Wow. So THAT is how the game is played. Lose/lose.

But I don't care. Like I said, I'm here to talk. As long as you're willing to maintain a civil tone with me, I'll do the same with you, as I always have (unless you're offended by my calling you Winifred). So here's the deal: as I said before, I have not been following Palin since 2009. I liked her after 2009, but felt like she was best at promoting the Tea Party and public speaking. I still believe that is where she is of best service, preaching to the choir. And I say this not as a dig, but because I do not believe anyone else will listen to her. This is my opinion. I felt like as McCain's VP she could get the national governing experience she needed and hone her skills. I do not believe she is qualified to be our president right now, just like Obama was not qualified. Having said that, I tuned her out. She's on our side and I'm glad she's out there working it.

It DID bother me that she quit the governor position. Strike one (after walking into the Couric fiasco -- that one was free). Strike two came with what I perceived as the appearance of impropriety when she took money for the lawsuit defense, all while making hundreds of thousands of dollars for speaking engagements. It made me mad that she was accepting $10, $5 from people that needed that money for themselves. Sarah Palin is a millionaire. And more power to her except that she took money from poor people. Strike three for me came Monday night when Palin was invited to attend the Tea Party debate. Not only did she skip that, but she then went on Fox News and suggested "something just wasn't right" about Perry and Gardasil...all the while she knew full well this was a federal program that she had taken money for herself as governor to allow in Alaska. It was incredibly disingenuous of her. And the next day Rush sends a shot across the bow and she and Bachmann both back the hell off. I call foul.

So here we are. And the rumor is she's "announcing" tomorrow. She has no campaign war chest. Only two years experience at a state level of government. She's got significant name recognition, yet 63% of the country say they would NEVER vote for her. This shouldn't make anyone happy that wants to get rid of Obama next year, Wini. So there you are. I answered your question. Flame away.
