Gov. Perry Announces TEF Investment in Solar Power Company

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today announced the state will invest $1 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) in HelioVolt Corp. of Austin for the construction of a 125,000 square foot manufacturing facility and development space to test and produce the company’s thin-film solar power cells, which convert sunlight into electricity. The deal will create nearly 160 jobs and $62 million in capital investment.

I think it is laughable the LATimes views his spending as the one area in which he is vulnerable though.

Although some will jump on this, his spending has been downright frugal compared to most Governors. Rather, it is his stance with illegals that leaves him most vulnerable in the eyes of the Tea Party.

I’m not a huge Rick Perry fan, but Michele (I keep sticking my foot in my mouth) Bachmann is starting to piss me off royally. She acted, and looked, like a witch in the last debate and now she is hell-bent on trying to destroy other GOP candidates. Way to go Michele; send our nominee, whomever it might be (but it sure as hell won’t be you), into the General Election wounded and bleeding and half dead so Barack Hussein Obama can finish off him, or her, on November 6, 2012.
