Today, a top national restaurant chain partnered with First Lady Michelle Obamas Lets Move childhood anti-obesity campaign. Last year, that same company received a waiver exempting it from some of the most stringent mandates of ObamaCare.
Michelle Obama visited an Olive Garden restaurant in Hyattsville, Maryland today as Darden Restaurants announced that it would reduce the amount of calories and sodium in its menu by 20% over the next decade.
Darden Restaurants, which owns Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Longhorn Steakhouse, Capital Grille, Bahama Breeze, and Seasons 52, received a waiver from Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on October 26, 2010 allowing the company to avoid some of the insurance mandates of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as ObamaCare. The law eventually outlaws mini-med plans to offer low benefit levels to low-wage employees. But companies can keep their mini-med plans if they can show that they couldnt afford to comply with the law.

I’m never setting foot in them, again, and my parents sold their stock in the company, yesterday. They are also encouraging others to do the same in their ‘investment club’.
Prostitutes come in all shapes and sizes.
Whoop$! Yet another Obama $candal. My boycott is in place. FUDarden!
Not what the first moron wants in the White House.
Boom!!!
If we all promise to eat less fat and salt, can we get waivers from Obamacare?
I like Longhorn, impeach the clown in chief.
Darden’s going to lower our food portions then we will lower their revenue portions. Works both ways you tyrant cronies in bed with ObamaCare. Ma Mo should practice what she preaches on herself first.
I’ll take an order of onion rings with those fries.
Every time I go to Longhorn and Olive Garden these days, there is new menu with higher prices and smaller portions. If they are pledging to lower their sodium and calories in 10 years, I doubt they’ll need to worry about living up to that pledge. At the rate they they’re jacking up prices, I doubt Americans with kids will be able to eat there much longer.
I thought OBozo said he wasn’t going to give out any more wavers?
Never did like Red Lobster much, but as for the rest of them that is it for me. My investment club doesn’t own this one or it would be history.
Crony capitalism.
Rush says Boycotts don’t work. I DON’T CARE! I AM DONE WITH THEM, just like I AM DONE WITH GM and GE.
screw the anti-Americans who are screwing us.
Fascist Gardens
Plus if you read their home page they give money or scholarships especially to minority poor children of color. Poor white kids need not apply. They go out of their way on this page to be diverse..the company if you read their home page and go into the specifics, has gone to hell.

I used to work for Red Lobster when it was owned by General Mills. I will never step foot in another Red Lobster again. Ive been boycotting it since I learned that it got a health care waiver about a year ago.
Crapitalism.
