It was never mandated until Virginia did so recently.

There’s an opt out procedure in Texas, and this was made easier in the Governor’s Executive February, 2007 Executive orderthat was over ruled by the Legislature by special law, so it would have worked for Gardasil, just as it does for girls who get their measles/mumps/rubella vaccines at 11 - 12 years old.

It covers pregnancy as a medical reason - even in 11-12 year old girls mentioned in the 2007 EO.

I mentioned the Virgina mandate earlier in this thread, but it was ignored. Maybe you, as a doctor, will get more notice than a mother of a girl who was "mandated" to get it 2 years ago.
