The issue is that Perry circumvented the legislature

THAT is the ONLY issue. He did it, owned it and has admitted it was a mistake.

It is no longer an issue. This is stupid, and the more it is beaten around the more Obambi gets a pass.

The Republican candidates should be focusing on what is wrong with Bambi and not eating each other. Then let the primary voters choose which one has the best chance to kick his sorry butt out of the White House.

Personally, Herman Cain is my favorite, but it's really sickening to see the backbiting and sniping and just plain nastiness being thrown around. The demonrats must be having a field day over this.

‘Just look at Virginia, where a state mandate for the HPV vaccine was passed with the support of politicians in both parties. Chris Stolle, a Republican state delegate there told the Huffington Post, “I’m a conservative Republican and I certainly do believe in limited government and limited interference of government into our lives. As we look at the function of government, I would put number one as being to protect its citizens. I think that a vaccination program for a disease that’s epidemic falls very clearly within the realms of a small limited government.”’

This vaccination is mandated in at least one state.

THAT is the ONLY issue.

It may be the most important issue in the Gardusil fiasco, but it's NOT the only issue about Perry that worries many of us. With the Trans Texas Corridor, we see the same determination to override the will of the people for his own and his cronies' personal gain. If anything, the TTC is an even more outrageous abuse of power.

Then there's in-state tuition for illegals, and I begin to see a pattern that tells me Perry is Slick Willie on steroids. But because he mouths the right conservative-sounding blather, the Perristas are willing to overlook his "mistakes." You say, He did it, owned it and has admitted it was a mistake. So have many murderers, bank robbers, embezzlers, and rapists. But we don't say, "Oh well then, we'll put all that behind us" and then elect them to a high public office.

It is no longer an issue.

It is still an issue and it will always be an issue.

Why? Because it reveals a serious flaw in Perry's philosophical make up.

Look, much as I liked both Presidents Bush personally, I don't want to be disappointed, yet again, by a candidate who claims to be a conservative but doesn't have the gut-level instincts of a genuine conservative.

A genuine conservative like Ronald Reagan would never have mandated this kind of vaccine in the first place, much less done it by executive order.
