The Century Arms FAL was my second choice, but I've read that they have QC issues. It was a hard decision since the model I saw at the gun show was $500 cheaper than the M1A.

Can you verify that? I really want an FAL too, but some models are E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E!

I got my CAI FAL for like $450 or $500 bucks several years ago.
I think they are in the $750 range now

I have heard of no QC issues with their FALS.
They have had plenty of QC issues with other firearms.

The CETME had lots of issues, but if you knew what to look for you could get a good CETME for $350 a few years back.

I ordered an HK93 clone from them and it had issues.
They replaced it with a good one.
I am happy.

The current dealers cost is $700, so you are going to pay at least $750
