There are two kinds of citizens in this country: natural born and naturalized. All that garbage about parents citizenship at the moment of birth is nonsense. And three, two, one, here they come to flame away!
Use common sense. The requirement is there to help ensure that the president is loyal to the US and not some other country. Not many people remember their birth so it's not where a person is born but how they are raised that will shape their allegiance.
I guess you are ok with a communist spy sneaking in to reach US soil, drop a baby, take the baby back to said communist country, raise the baby as a hard core commie. Then at age 35 have him come to the US and run for president as a “progressive” !!
The part you are missing is that it was and has been understood that the DEFINITION of a NBC is a person born on the soil to two citizen and thus “LOYAL” parents. The baby is certain to be raised as an American. We did not have American Airlines back when the constitution was written. A child born here at that time clearly had parents that lived here as part of our culture and values.

There are two kinds of citizens in this country: NATIVE born (by birth) and naturalized (by statute).
“Natural Born” is a native born citizen who had two citizen parents when they were born and is eligible to be president. The rest are not.
