The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has told Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat to immediately suspend the cervical cancer control vaccination programme for girls. The programme is part of a two-year study to look into the utility of a vaccine in public health programmes and acceptability of Gardasil, the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine made by Merck. Gardasil, available in medical stores across the country, is marketed in India by MSD Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd.
The programme was marred by controversy after four deaths and complications among 120 girls were reported after vaccination. The girls complained of stomach disorders, epilepsy, headaches and early menarche. Women activists fear the vaccine may impact the mental health of girls who have shown no signs of distress so far.
Health ministry sources said the vaccination programme is being conducted by Gardasil, jointly with PATH, a Seattle-based NGO, ICMR and the two state governments. About 32,000 girls, aged 10-14, were to be tested in the study.

Nice try. Vaccines are not inherently safe just because the company and government says they are. There are risks to every vaccine and they are downplayed and ignored under mandatory vaccine laws.
I am for people deciding for themselves what if any vaccines they want to take, or reject. They have to live in their body and only they have to deal with the risk from a vaccine. If you agree, why not have an OPT-IN policy instead of placing the burden on the person to OPT-OUT. Assume they don’t want it unless they explicitly and proactively OPT-IN.
All this is done to prop up a vaccine by creating a forced artificial bigger market for Merck. If it’s a great vaccine people will hear about it and they’ll want it for their daughters.
But what we’re left here with is a vaccine that is the ethanol of the vaccine world. Merck made it, market demand ain’t there, people are worried about some of the adverse reactions, so government steps in and creates an artificial, forced market by mandating it. And you have to opt out by a certain time meaning whole bunches of people won’t know this. Not to mention this series of three spaced-out shots costs hundreds of dollars.
Hell, if government wants to encourage vaccines, let people deduct the costs of all the vaccines they get and their kids get each year. Make it that easier to keep vaccination levels high.
Government can go screw itself saying I have to have this or that substance injected into my body. Aluminum adjuvant, thimerosal (half mercury), contaminants (ie ever hear of the SV-40 virus contamination in the polio vaccines? - which they knew about but were not concerned about safety - still told people everything was perfectly safe?). Screw artficial markets and screw forced government mandates as to what goes or not goes into my body. I have to live with what I take in. Not them. If I’m permanently damaged or die, they keep merrily going on. I’m gone. They don’t give two sh1ts about whether I live or die. Look at how they care about their own veterans over the years and tell me different. Agent Orange? Safe. Anthrax vaccine? Safe. Depleted Uranium exposure? Safe.
I make my medical decisions, I am in charge of my own health, I am my very best advocate for my well being. Nobody else. Just as I am my very best first responder, my best self defender, my best determiner of how to spend my money, and my best overall decision maker for everything. I take advice from reliable people I trust but I make the call. Because I’m the one most affected by the consequences.

In most cases what passes for mandates are conditional mandates, not “you have no choice” mandates. Nowadays IF you want to go to public school many require proof of certain vaccinations. But many people don’t go to public school so for them, they may not have to have them.
Some vaccines produced today have reduced the sources of production, and now a few of them only come from aborted stem cell lines. If you are opposed to abortion now you have no other option except to not take the vaccine. Perhaps it may not bother some people but it ought to be something every Christian says no to.
Also realize that the sheer number of required vaccines has gone up from 5 to over 26 within the last 35-40 years. What we had to have as kids is nothing compared to what they pump into kids (and at earlier ages) now.
First, it is possible to contract HPV through skin-to-skin contact, although it is not common. Second, there are other sexually transmitted diseases (Hep-B) for which we mandate vaccination at a young age. And third, your daughter could be perfectly chaste until her wedding night and be completely faithful to her husband, and still contract HPV and die of cervical cancer, if her husband was not as chaste and faithful, or if, God forbid, she were raped by someone carrying the virus.
The most irksome aspect of this Bachman-fueled anti-vax bubble is that the anti-vax nutters are, by and large, hollywoodish, vegan, scent-sensitive liberal nutters. They aren’t even OUR crazy people: they’re the ‘Rats natural constituency. We’ve got our own crazy people to deal with, why in the world are we having to own the anti-vax crowd?????

Don’t you believe that the People are the greatest medical experts? Personally, when I have symptoms of something I go right down to the street corner and poll the passersby for the proper course of action. Screw going to a mechanic when my car needs repair, I just ask all my neighbors.

What is the percentage of complications associated with this compared to any drug?
How high does it have to be before the FDA refuses to approve?
What do the numbers from the FDA approval trials show?

I don’t think you’d just sit there and take it if Obama said “You must buy a GM car.” Whether you drove or not. Whether you felt you needed it or not.
And after you paid a lot for your government motors car, and your particular car’s steering fails and you crash and are permanently damaged or dead, how will you feel then? Obama will point to the car manual that points out all the risks of driving a car. Engineers will talk about failure rates of parts and that your car just got a bad part - it happens, statistically.

Number of cervical cancer cases diagnosed in 2005 per the CDC was 11,999.
That means that 00.07904% of women were diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Number of deaths by cervical cancer in 2005 were 3,924.
You admit complications from Gardasil are AT LEAST .375%.
Death rate is .0125% .
Ergo, the death rate from Perry's and MERCK's Gardasil
is about the same as from cervical cancer.

You are a highly educated, sane person who wants to have a government which is not fascist and treats human beings as responsible agents.
Well, our government was designed to be just that, (We the People) but has been totally transformed into this Leviathan centralized government who mandates known toxins into the body-—and I do think their motives are sinister—as John Stuart Mill spells out in his book, On Liberty.
Government has no business in practicing medicine or having control over education.....as Mill states....they will make slaves of the masses.
My feeling is that the death rate for the population is far higher than .0125%. Even if adjusted for sex and age cohart it is higher than that.

If we take this as 4/32,000, that equates to 125,000 out of a billion people population. If we say the population is half female (which it’s not but it’s close) that’s 62,500 girls dead.
It also doesn’t count girls not dead but damaged by the vaccine. This is just the death number.
What is an OPT-IN policy? Is it just no policy at all? Simply if you want the vaccine, go buy the vaccine?
