I think you're right there. If you look at the post I just had after yours (post 8), taking the time to reach out to Jews speaks to me as a Christian. Whether the US Jews vote Dem or not, as conservatives and for those of us who are Christians, we should stand by Israel and be her friend.

Rick Perry indicating his stand with Israel by taking the time to speak with Jewish Americans would seem to me to reach out to the Christian community, and it should also speak loudly to the conservatives of this country.

It seems to resonate less with the Jewish population than it does with the conservative Christian population.
