Ghastly New 'Fees' Found in Obama Tax Plan
Fox News ^ | 9/19/11 | Andrew Taylor, Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) -- It's not just millionaires who'd pay more under President Barack Obama's latest plan to combat the deficit.

Air travelers, federal workers, military retirees, wealthier Medicare beneficiaries and people taking out new mortgages are among those who would pay more than $130 billion in government revenues raised through new or increased fees.

Airline passengers would see their federal security fees double from $5 to $10 for a nonstop round-trip flight and triple to $15 by 2017, raising $25 billion over the coming decade. Federal workers would face an additional 1.2 percentage point deduction from their paychecks to contribute $21 billion more for their pensions over the same period.

At least there is a small bright spot in the bill. Federal employees should have fully funded pensions. Fully funded by them.

‘Fees’ are not taxes. Fees ‘are good for you,’ a la 0bama Deathcare, remember?

Taxes are extra and the ‘fair’ fare.

Federal employment should be cut in half.
7 of the 10 most wealthy counties in America surround Washington D. C.

Why does the rest of the country support this ?

It's pointless to attempt to parse the minutiae of the bill. The net result will be increased rerouting of arterial blood to the lump of cancerous tissue in DC. We are seen as parasites on government.

I think the worst part of this whole mess is that people just want to work and provide for their families. This President either has no comprehension of a free market economy, or he is accomplishing exactly what he wants to accomplish. More and more Americans dependent on government hand-outs for what he might provide to this or that group of Americans.

Americans, all Americans need for the federal government to do what is necessary to allow the entrepreneurial spirit of America to create the jobs necessary for this country. It is the only thing the government can do. Cut the size and scope of government, place a moratorium on excessive regulations, and get the hell out of the way.

Enough of the games...people cannot afford to watch as they go further into debt trying to survive this idiotic political environment. I am also speaking to those RINO’s in congress that are coming up for reelection. Watch your step...we are watching every vote you make. Press the RINO establishment to get out of the way and let true leaders emerge. We all know who they are.

We need Sarah Palin and her servant's heart. America needs her heart. EAGLES UP SARAH!

The GOPsters need to dig EVERY ONE of these “fees” out of the Kenyan guy’s bill and clobber the commie ‘RATS over the head with them.

Obama is concerned that Napolitano’s gropers and grabbers haven’t done enough to harm the airline industry. If the cop-a-feelers don’t get you, the double/triple fees will.

Mugabe and Idi Amin have nothing on our White House charlatan.

Obama is running a divisive hateful and angry campaign to ‘screw the rich’. His plan is to ‘fix a problem’ that was ‘fixed’ 40 years ago with AMT. it is based on the lie that the rich arent paying enough, when the top 10% are paying the MAJORITY of the income tax.

Meanwhile, hidden in this ‘tax the rich’ sloganeering, is the same old tax them ALL plan.

This is not about creating jobs, its about creating campaign slogans and enemies to attack. In fact, the policy Obama proposes will destroy jobs, hurt the economy and make America poorer.

This is what demagogues do when they have failed to deliver the goods - FIND A SCAPEGOAT. blaming the ‘rich’ for a deficit that grew by $1 trillion because Obama increased spending by $1 trillion. Phew!

Read 1984 if you want to know more.

I do NOT trust Boehner or Cantor; their inclination is to rewrite and pass some of Barry's tax plan so they can look like they're bipartisan. That's why they are RINOs.

Americans want Barry's agenda stopped DEAD (that's what they've been voting since the November 2010 election), but the Stupid Party wants to collaborate with the Donkey socialists/Marxists. Idiots! These DC political hacks have absolutely no clue.

I don’t disagree. Cantor was in on the new American contract idea at the Nov ‘10 elections, together with McCain, Barbour and someone else (there were 4 people). That information was taken down election night.

Does anyone have the video of 0bama saying that no one should make more than the President? I remember that.

He and his thugs will come after 401Ks and pensions. The health care benes at major corporations are already skyrocketing.

A lot of airline travelers travel only rarely. The people who would pay the most would be people who have to fly frequently because of their jobs...in other words, for business. And we know that this administration considers private businesses evil.
