What’s that term for the guy who draws the short straw and has to do barrel duty?

"If you're standing watch at midnight on a surface ship there's not much to talk about," he said

Really dumb comment there. I would imagine that there's a LOT to talk about, besides one's homosexuality.

His homosexuality aside, this moron doesn't even realize that he's perpetuating one of the biggest "gay" stereotypes: that homosexuals are narcissistic and exhibitionist about their homosexuality.

Gays are now openly serving in the military and I can’t see how it can be changed now.

Executive Order. Good order and discipline in the Armed Forces of the United States, of which the President is Commander in Chief and the solitary authority.

If he wants them out, they're out, no arguments. He could defy the Supreme Court if it came to it, and simply declare the matter to be under his sole jurisdiction IAW Article II of the Constitution.

I predict another Civil War. I also predict the New Confederate Army will not be homosexualized.

I don’t know LomanBill, but to be fair CW, you are the lead for Perry here at FR. When I have a Perry question, I ping you as well. You’re an apparent authority and obvious supporter of his.

What is his stance on homosexuals in the military? I suspect they only represent a tiny percent of the active military. I’d also like to hear Perry’s stance on women in combat and on subs.

Don’t worry. The picture in the article says it all. One picture is worth 1,000 words.

Being in the military is extremely invasive.

I expect less so than his "honeymoon".

Your military I’d is supposed to be your name, rank, and serial number. You are supposed to nothing more than a simple cog in a big military machine.

Any other identifiable factors are not supposed to be a factor in your military identity.

That’s why the gay thing is going to tear at the military fabric.

“A marriage is the union of a man and woman.”

Almost right. Marriage is a sacrament given to a man and a woman by God’s grace.

The narcissism isn't so much a stereotype as a symptom. Stereotype connotes prejudice in the observer. This is a shambles and a dog's breakfast more than a stereotype.

LJ, check this sorry mess out.

The Obama admin didn't just wink, they actively promoted the open inclusion of homosexuals.

If all the Republican candidates are saying they can do away with something so complex as Obamacare, I would think they could reverse this.

Where'd you hear that? All the Republican candidates want to do away with Obamacare? (They may be saying that just to get elected.) Do "all" the Republican senators and congresspersons want to get rid of it? It takes 100% agreement to undo the massive injury that illegitimate law has caused the United States. Look at Roe v. Wade as an example.

My exact thoughts also.

You are correct in stating that it would be almost impossible to get this reversed. The military will cover up all the problems like always. To the outside world it would look like everything is working out OK. We will see the effects about ten years down the line.

No changes. Problems will be left up to the local units. I can see major issues in the dorms.

The longer it stays in effect, the harder it will be to undo it. More so because there will be no visible negative effect, whatever there will be, is going to be hard to prove as a cause-effect relationship.

"Repulsive and Disgusting... How did we sink so low into the Abyss..."

It's called cowardice. It is also what allowed a marxist usurper to occupy the white house. Not being called a racist is more important than defending our Constitutiion. America deserves Obama.
