I can already see your scenario in action. Negative stories about Obama in the mainstream press are circulating in numbers I never would have thought possible after the Immaculation. Look how quick the AP was to fact check his speech the other day.

Sometime between now and Thanksgiving the assembled Democrat braintrust is going to take Barry behind closed doors and tell him “your time is up!”

I don't think hussein will go quietly. You think a guy like obama with that much power at his fingertips hasn't dug up serious dirt on any and all that has even the slightest potential to be a threat?
Hell, even if he directly is not smart enough to do so, there are enough dirty staffers that I am sure like to play the game of personal destruction.
Unless a heap load of mula is on the table (and I am talking A LOT; think Michelle, the spending machine), we could very well see the Democrat "old guard" get into a full scale party war with obama.

Bayh would be a problem, Rodham even bigger. And there are no shortage of Republicans who would advance the primacy of the State, as they have in the past.
