The change of the role of the DOJ is shocking - in the "old days" (i.e., pre-Obama) there was some measure of independence because the lawyers felt an obligation to the rule of law, the courts, the Constitution, etc. The system could be gamed by putting grossly incompetent people in place (hello, Janet Reno!!) but we have now moved into a situation where Holder is acting as consigliere to Obama's godfather. His job is to protect the criminal racket.

I remember when Nixon fired a couple of Prosecutors and AGs for doing their jobs. Part of his “impeachment” charges.

How things have changed, get an AG from the Beginning that doesn’t follow the Constitution or the Law and you have no problems.
