As a conservative, I find zoning laws to be an overreach of governmental power that often times debilitates a property owner’s ability to maximize the financial utility of the land that they own.
However, if there is a specific zoning law in NYC which prohibits such a structure from being built in the city, then the land owners would have to comply.
You used a great many words in that last post to say very little. :)
Basically, you aren’t a fan of zoning laws, but people still have to obey them.
