No you don’t see.

I was correct that not all six cops were beating this man to death.

We now know it was two cops.

If you think the Feds investigating the civil rights abuse are going to find something different in that regard - then good luck with that.

This is what happens when you go from “Peace Officer” to “LAW ENFORCEMENT (damnit!) OFFICER”

You're perfectly correct. This is exactly the distinction I've been stressing in other discourse for a good while. The authority, in the field, of a duly appointed officer used to be derived from the so-called "police powers" of the state and require that there be some public safety concern at issue. Other civilians ("other", because the civilian police are civilians themselves, whatever else they say) used to be entitled to disregard orders which were either unlawful, illegal, or simply not relevant to public safety, putting the police in the position of having to go get warrants. But these days the whole system has swallowed the idea that these officers are authorized to instantly enforce law in the field.

Well..B.F. I'd know when someone was getting overwhelmed in front of me being beat to death

Maybe you wouldn't....Fair enough.

I'd intervene...You wouldn't.

Once again..fair enough. I know where you stand.

Sometimes the cops themselves are hardest on colleagues who betray their trust.

You should have chosen "Mother Goose" for your screen name.

Osage Orange, the man died days later. How would the cops know the man was beat to death?

Okay....I will assume you've never seen anyone beat enough to die right there, or weeks later.

So I ask again, had a concerned citizen intervened and saved this man’s life by either physically subduing the cop(s), or terminating the offending officer with lethal force, what would be the legal outcome for that heroic individual?

Would they be criminally charged?

Our civil society has let the police unions run amok and afoul!

You left out your numerous responses to me insisting that all six beat him to death.

You were told repeatedly multiple times, the comments were based on what the witnesses stated. Of course, you know this.

A third of officers on the scene, have already been charged with beating the man to death.

Your first post's over there were to discredit the GD victim who was beat to death, then went on to say he, "resisted", then ya did a total about face and stated, I'll wait to comment until the investigation is complete.

Now your jumping up and down because as of now, only a third of the officers on scene have been charged with beating the unarmed man to death...The others have not been completely exonerated. Of course you know this too.

You've been asked, how can other officers at the scene, just standby and watch their fellow officers do this? Were they blinded? Did they not see the unarmed suspect beat into a coma and beyond recognition? This reeks and of course you know this too.

Once again, all comments made regarding the 6 officers, were not from my opinion, but those of witnesses.

Of course, you know this too, as you were told this repeatedly.

You are one of the most disingenuous people on this site.

I really dislike you Mr. Berlin.

The GD victim was comatose on arrival, he was not expected to recover when first seen..He was not recognizable... He never regained consciousness slick.

Hello anyone home Berlin?

Ya got a 135 pound unarmed suspect was beat beyond recognition, into a GD coma, but others on the scene, had now idea he was near deaths door step.

Ya think anyone out here buys your cockn'bull biased comments?

THE POWER OF THE CAMERA...!

Do you know what the initial reaction of the media to the beating video was?

NOTHING...!

His dad went to the hospital and in one impulse decided to take a photo of his dead son’s face, with the bruises and all the gauze crammed up his nose.

THAT set everything off.

If he hadn’t snapped and released that ONE photo, NONE of this would have happened.

GREAT NEWS!! I hope this cop gets raped every single day in prison.

You are exactly right. No intervention would have prevented the murder, because the murderers had badges and guns.

I certainly would have been arrested and/or beaten that night if I had been present. No way would I stand by while these thug cops beat this poor guy to death.

Actually, you are correct. The cops did not kill him. They merely tuned him up a little to show him the error of his ways. If he copped such a shitty attitude as to die because of something as trivial as being beat to the extent he was..... Well, we certainly blame the brave heroic police, can we?

All on this thread, including me, should be as enlightened as you about this incident. Thank you for enlightening me and changing my way of thinking.

You’d be surprised how many folks jump to the defense of rogue cops out here, regardless of what is actually captured on video. It borders on ridiculous...
