I stand corrected. My question, however, stands: does the company state that they only cater to the heterosexual honeymooners? And does 'honeymoon' only applies to those who legally married--and not to civil union? When my wife and I took advantage of such honeymoon package, they didn't ask for our wedding certificate. So, anyone can claim about honeymooning whether they are really just married or not.

I'm not going to go to the issue whether it's perception or fact. Each of us has a lot of stories about how hotels/restaurants treat us badly, and both sides (hotel/restaurant and us) can argue until the cow comes home whether they're perception or fact, and God knows who's right.

My point is, the company should state that they cater specifically to heterosexual honeymooners. Otherwise, they have to prepare such thing happens. And if it does, they need to treat the customers equally. It may be against the law for a company to say they cater only to heterosexual couples, but I think companies should be allowed to cater customers to their competency--in this case heterosexual couples.

No problem it is a common view you wrote. No I don't think they should say which kind of marriage they allow or want. The person on the vacation should look at the country/laws where they're going to and then make a decision on if they want to go there. They should not go to a country and then expect that hotel will cater to them. For instance, I or you would not go to a homosexual cruise. I could and then once refused go to court for discrimination, go to a radio station and cry but lets face it most of us are not like that . So why are they like that? There is a need, well maybe not a need but mroe of a view in that small community that everyone has to cater to them. I know if I saw a homosexual person kissing another one on my vacation etc then I'd be pissed and I bet so would all the other guests. Here is the trouble IMHO. They've been told off the media for a decade now that they're normal but once they leave their circle they find to their amazement people do not accept their ways What you're asking is all hotels in the world to say what kind of couples or marriage they cater too. It's not possible, we live here but outside of this country most countries have more stringent laws about homosexuals. They need to understand that.
