That’s because Pecos Perry is a weak sister when it comes to ILLEGAL ALIENS and on border security.
As a result, he is NOT qualified become president in my honest opinion.
Illegal immigrants caused the housing bubble, which destroyed the banks, which triggered the recession, which got Obama elected, which turned the recession into a depression.
Look at how many of the TEF recipients are agribusiness and food processors like Tyson.
Don’t fool yourself. Americans of hispanic descent will vote 50-50 Republican, as they usually do, and illegal aliens and the legalized Mexican Occupation Force will vote 100% for Democrats, as they usually do.
Someone on another thread, same topic, explained all of this for us:
All the people working at the Center for Immigration Studies are “white nationalists.”
See, working for CIC is only their day job. They live for the night!
Torchlight parades in brownshirts, ending in a bookburning. Moshing in skinhead pits listening to `Aryan Power’ deathmetal bands.
I can’t remember his/her screen name because the post was so lame/tired.
“Like Ive been sayin Texas is, in general, pretty soft on illegals.”
well, everyone wants to be like Reagan. He was the ultimate perfect Republican so when he said he believed in amnesty, why would any other Republican want to be any different?
The $295 million Texas Enterprise Fund doles out millions of tax dollars to Perry supporters who then kick-back to his campaign coffers.
TESF also gave $20 million to Countrywide Mtge---the crooks at the heart of the US financial meltdown---- Ricky said the $20 million was to (cough) "create jobs."
I was being a bit tongue in cheek. I am tiring of the Perry hit pieces today. I’ve read several of them as well as the stories they link to. So far, I’m seeing words taken out of context, newspaper headlines taken as though they were Perry speaking, etc. If this guy is so bad, we should have much more tangible evidence against him. Much more.
Of the current crop, he’s way ahead of whoever is in second place, that’s for sure. I wish we had a better choice, and maybe we will, eventually, but right now he is “it”.
How much you want to bet most is from the Gov and Lib donors?
Juan McCain says that’ll result in us not having cheap lettuce, and we can’t have that!
Sorry to disagree, but the only reason illegal immigrants could buy a house to start with was due to Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Franklin Raines, and Acorn. Owning a house was a “right” according to these leftists, and banks were strongly influenced into making loans.
Your custom title for the article is, er, factually inaccurate, and the article itself directly contradicts you.
How is that disagreeing with me?
Sadly, the Bush Administration also issued executive orders equating national origin with language, so the banks had to give as many loans, proportionately, to non-English speakers as to English speakers. And since speaking English is a prerequisite to legal citizenship, that meant illegal aliens. How many non-English-speaking illegal immigrants were a good credit risk for a $600,000 loan?
At least McCain saw that such bad loans were undermining Sallie Mae’s fiscal health.
Today Texas was where California was in 1970. In 5-10 years Texas will be where California is today. The demise of both states will be for the same reason: millions of illegal immigrants.
CIS is very strongly in support of curtailing immigration, as is NumbersUSA, who wrote the actual argument. In fact, they are the two effective organizations in the nation in reducing immigration. Whereas CIS is academic, NumberUSA is very overtly political in the sense that they marshall their supporters to make millions of faxes and phone calls to sway legislators. CIS’ purpose in that statement is to minimize the extent to which the amnesty crowd claims CIS is biased. NumbersUSA is openly political.

Disagree with your wording or emphasis in post 22. It’s the politicians that caused the housing melt down; that we appear to agree on....not illegals any more than white citizens who got caught up in irrational exuberance (greed).
Not my custom title. As stated, it’s via NumbersUSA. And it is not inaccurate, nor contradicted in the article.
The article explains that while EIGHTY PERCENT (not a mere majority) of jobs were given to legal and illegal immigrants, NINETY PERCENT of those were given to non-naturalized immigrants, mostly illegal immigrants.
So, yes, the majority were given to ILLEGAL immigrants.
I’d also point out that many of the legal immigrants are quasi-legal: “anchor baby” children of illegal immigrants, amnestied but formerly illegal immigrants, abusers of green-card programs, etc.
Lastly, the reason I used the NumbersUSA title, not the CIS title is that I believe a NEWS title should state a news fact. The CIS title was a scholarly report, and did not include a news fact: “Who Benefited from Job Growth In Texas? A Look at Employment Gains for Immigrants and the Native-Born, 2007 to 2011”
I chose a title that answered a question, rather than posing one.
And those of us who have taken the time to take a close look at Perry are tired of the cheerleading pieces by 5-10 Perry fangirls EVERY day.
I see the title NumbersUSA is now using is “New CIS Study Finds That Recent Jobs Created in Texas Went to New Immigrants.”
I have absolutely no problem with swapping out the old title with the new one, if the Admin Moderator sees fit.
