It’s the politicians who caused the financial meltdown... by allowing illegal immigrants to flood our nation, and then forcing the banks to give them tens of trillions of unsecured loans. I can’t blame the illegal immigrants for taking low-interest, zero-money-down homes, don’t-worry-how-you’ll-pay loans. I can blame the idiots like Frank, Dodd, Obama, but also Bush and Perry for allowing it to happen.

Sure beats welfare.

Right, let's save that for the U.S. citizens whose jobs the illegals took.

There are no illegal aliens in Texas. Not a single one.

I pretty much ignore the “pro-perry” threads. I’m looking for the meat behind the complaints about him. That is why I actually read the stuff against him. I know that you can dig up dirt on pretty much every politician so I want to know just how dirty his dirt is.

So far, his record looks better than Reagans governorship. Even with the substantiated “bad” stuff.

That steady stream of illegals pouring into Texas explains a lot. Senor Ricky gets away with mucho BS in Texas. Cattle country doesn't demand veracity...or much else...from its elected officials.

Gov Perry's ongoing suckups to illegals raise serious questions about his curious string of unbroken elections wins.

QUESTIONS PERRY SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO ANSWER

<><> Have you made deals with illegal aliens (1) to exchange campaign cash and votes for gratuities, (2) to use your office to get illegals US govt handouts?

<><> Did you promise illegals tax paid-free education, EITC, welfare, food stamps, UI, SS, SSI, healthcare, sub-prime mortgages, subsidized bank loans in exchange for votes?

<><> Do you know this is a felony?

<><> Do you know which identity illegals use to register to vote for you?

<><> Do you know illegals who qualify for Texas in-state tuition may also be eligible for state aid?

<><> Do you know that ‘state aid’ to illegals is paid for by American citizens?

Pretty sad: we have Perry who is an open borders guy and Romney who gave birth to Obamacare.

Well, those who claim that the Illegals are only here for the agricultural jobs that Americans won’t do surely cannot claim that THIS year in TEXAS.

New Mexico- Texas- Oklahoma have been declared by authorities to have had ZERO agricultural production on known tillable land in those 3 states due to the drought.

Last night, national nightly news interviewed cotton farmers in NW Texas. The gin handled & baled over 89,000 bales of cotton last year. This year, they are HOPING for 25,000 bales. This plant is only 3 years old & all brand new. The cotton grower said he is looking at a $300 K to $400 K loss of revenue this year. Meanwhile, his property taxes- mortgage payments- equipment loan payments—seed-crop dusting- power bills from trying to irrigate from deep wells-—all continue unabated. He said he felt lucky that he had crop insurance. Those premiums don’t stop, either.

Apples in my store this week were $1.99 a pound. I could care less about lettuce, since you could starve to death eating it.

Sure beats welfare.

Well yes it does, but what happens to the person they displaced?

Think about it this way. You have a 12 man boat in the ocean, with 12 men already in it, but the crew had 14 survivors two of whom are holding on the the only part of the boat that will accommodate them, still floating in the water. Their ship of course was sunk by an aircraft, so they are lucky to be alive, then all of a sudden the pilot of the plane that sunk their ship swims up to their boat and asks for help.

Should he get a seat, thereby putting another man into the water, or maybe even a less secure position on the outside of the boat, where he can fight for the hand hold the other two man now have?

I was thinking we needed someone like Eisenhower ~ hey, he lived in Texas too didn't he?

Just take their little fannies and toss 'em out!

Like I said, Texas is just too soft.

Not my custom title. As stated, it’s via NumbersUSA. And it is not inaccurate, nor contradicted in the article.

You didn't post from NumbersUSA, you posted from the Center for Immigration Studies. Per FR rules, your article title must come from the source you actually linked. It appears the Admin Mod agrees.

The article explains that while EIGHTY PERCENT (not a mere majority) of jobs were given to legal and illegal immigrants, NINETY PERCENT of those were given to non-naturalized immigrants, mostly illegal immigrants.

So, yes, the majority were given to ILLEGAL immigrants.

From the article:

Of newly arrived immigrants who took jobs in Texas since 2007, we estimate that 50 percent (113,000) were illegal immigrants. Thus, about 40 percent of all the job growth in Texas since 2007 went to newly arrived illegal immigrants and 40 percent went to newly arrived legal immigrants.

Texas is crawling with illegal aliens, with a Governor that kisses their butts and was the first in the country to reward them with in-state tuition and once again, phony conservatives and assorted cheerleaders are saying Perry is our only choice.

This is the same exact crap the Bush groupies pushed.

8 years of Bush and he all but made American citizenship pointless, while flooding the country with millions more illegals. During wartime no less.

If Americans run Perry and elect him, they'll deserve every damn thing they get.
