A unique approach to ending abortion
40 Days For Life ^ | Thursday, September 22, 2011

Posted on 09/22/2011 11:38:14 AM PDT by metmom

Our community will be one of many cities from coast to coast joining together for the 40 Days for Life campaign. Here in Syracuse, we are praying in front of the Planned Parenthood located at 1120 E. Genesee Street. (see a map)

40 Days for Life is an intensive effort designed to raise awareness, save lives, bring healing, and lead our nation to repentance for the sin of abortion through three components: prayer and fasting, peaceful vigil, and community outreach.

40 Days for Life takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion in America.

The 40-day campaign tracks Biblical history, where God used 40-day periods to transform individuals, communities ... and the entire world. From Noah in the flood to Moses on the mountain to the disciples after Christ's resurrection, it is clear that God sees the transformative value of His people accepting and meeting a 40-day challenge.

Vision and Mission 40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life campaign with a vision to access God’s power through prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil to end abortion in America.

The mission of the campaign is to bring together the body of Christ in a spirit of unity during a focused 40 day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism, with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion in America.

You want the left to stop pushing abortion?

Start a nationwide campaign along the theme of “Do your part to get rid of liberals: Keep Abortion Legal”

Liberal pretzel logic heads will be exploding all over the country.

Let’s say a quick prayer for the faithful in Spokane, Washington where Bishop Cupich forbade priests to participate, then changed his mind after a “public outcry”, but in the confusing interim, many priests cancelled their parish’s involvement, thinking they were complying with the Bishop, and as of a few days ago the seminarians were still under orders not to pray or demonstrate outside any abortion clinic. The married couple that are the organizers every year (yes, just 2 people) are frantically trying to get all the signals straight between bishop, priests, Catholic laity, etc. Bishop Cupich needs to show some leadership and, in his words, “teaching” instead of vague positions. He’s been bishop there 1 year, the event has gone on 4 years with never a problem until now.

I have thought about telling liberals that kill their children that their children are far better off dead and in heaven then being raised by them as fodder for eternal hell.

I understand why you're cnsidering the idea that a baby is better off aborted and going to heaven, than being raised badly and end up fit for hell (kinda) but I think it would be evil and untrue to say such a thing.... to anyone.

I know a woman who aborted her child (and it turned out to be her only child) for more-or-less that very reason. She thought that both she and the baby's father were messed-up people, quite unprepared to give the child the necessary security on an emotional or material level. So she thought it would be better to "nip it in the bud" for the baby's own good, so it wouldn't end up with a ruined life because of her own shortcomings as a parent.

She said she thought since it wa early in pregnancy, she'd just have a ittle procedure, and then feel a little bad afterward, for a little while, and then: all better.

But it turned out that 3 decades later, she realizes that it was well and truly murder, and she regrets it more and more as the years go by.

So don't proffer the view that the baby is better off dead "in in the arms of Jesus." You'd be surprised at how often just that thought motivates a confused woman to kill her infant child. This is not God's will. No, never.

No. There’s a local pastor who went to jail some years ago for contempt of court for refusing to agree to the judge’s orders to stay away from the PP office. It was part of Operation Rescue.

That is unfortunate, yes, but what would you rather be, an aborted baby living forever in heaven with your Heavenly Father or a person bred and brought up to be wicked and Godless by their parents who had murder as a mentality? I know that I would never, never, never on into infinity want to spend eternity in hell.

Also, from my experience their are very few Christians who actually take the call to be soul winners seriously leaving huge gaps in realm of leading souls to The LORD. It is possible that this drastic and highly horrible way of getting souls into heaven would not be neccessary if more Christians were true soul winners.

I actually sometimes think that The LORD in his mercy allows completely defective, wicked people that He knows will be unrepentant to not raise their offspring. They are so defective that they murder them. It happened way back in history. Many burned their babies alive offering them up to idols and on up through history Godless people have for one reason or another murdered their own offspring.

Also consider how many children die from famines in Godless countries. I think that taking children away from these Godless parents where the children will have little real opportunity to come to The LORD just may be mercy. Not from our eyes but from The LORD's eyes which are on eternity.

Also, many people are actually saved because of the guilt they feel from killing their child. It is the one sin that they cannot live with and it drives them into the arms of The LORD. Then their precious infant's life was not in vain on this earth but rather worked to bring their mom and/or dad to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Not all things are good but all things do work out for good to those who love The LORD and are called according to His purposes. When people are dreadfully evil The LORD allows for drastic measures to draw some of them into heaven.

I doubt you will like my reasoning but again I would rather spend eternity in heaven with The LORD than live a long life without The LORD on earth and end up burning in hell forever. Would you?

Luk 18:16 But Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Why didn't she consider adoption? Abortion is a terrible thing but she must come to grips with The LORD's forgiveness and use her life to His glory for we have all sinned, many of us grievously, but He gives us his joy through forgiveness. This is a wonderful miracle of being born again. Her child waits for her in heaven and loves her. We must all let Christ live His life through us. Our lives are the soil, including and especially all the things we have done wrong, that His Word grows in and flourishes in if we can understand that this is what life is all about.

I don’t know why she didn’t consider adoption. What seems obvious to me doesn’t seem obvious to her.

I think people don’t consider adoption because
1) they think they could never let someone else raise their baby (I know that is ironic considering they could kill it, but there it is)
2) if you do adoption, you are pregnant for nine months, with all the miserable side effects and none of the happy anticipation. And everybody can see what a messed up person you are, and then they will wonder where the baby went when you give it up, and judge you for dumping your baby on someone else.
3) They’d have to find an agency or a lawyer or something, and follow through with paperwork and stuff, and act grown-up and everything.

The above is why it’s so important that they find their local Pregnancy Resource Center fast, and get the encouragement and practical assistance they need to get up their nerve and give their baby life.
